The Dream

I would like to share with you my dream -- similar to the article I published previously on "The Gay Senator." The link to my other dream that I wrote about is below, which includes a very valuable lesson I learned.

The interesting aspect about this dream is I'm not sure if there was a message behind It or if it was one those dreams (as with many dreams -- I'm sure) that come and go, without any rhyme, reason or underlying message.

Dream Message

Unlike my other dream that I wrote about which had a crystal clear message, this dream is a complete enigma to me. My previous dream had sort of an ordinary setting, and seem to be pretty straightforward. I knew the meaning and message of the dream, as soon as I woke up.

The Flamingo Lady dream left me with questions and puzzling thoughts -- which explains why I waited a few days before I decided to write about it.

When I dreamed about the gay senator, I instantly knew what the message was and I wrote about the dream the next morning -- as soon as I woke up.

As of this printing, It's been about a week since I had the dream about The Flamingo Lady, but I can still remember it vividly, just as if it was yesterday. So, I decided to write about it. As they say -- Things happen for a reason. So maybe I can still recall the dream in detail because it was meant for me to share it with you.

The Wood Shed in the Dark Dream Part

When my dream started, it was dark outside and I was walking around the corner of a long, horizontal wood shed that at first seemed to be empty. No one was around at all.

I then looked down. Around my feet I saw lots of muddy soil. It was the type of slushy soil that had been drenched after a heavy rain. I tip-toed (I can't explain why I was tip-toeing!) on the muddy, soggy soil and rubbed my hands along the wood shed as if to balance myself or to feel my way through the dark-- as I walked toward the lighted open door.

The Car is Gone! Where is the Car in My Dream?

While I walked close along the wall, I instinctly knew my car was not parked where I left it. I kept walking toward the light coming from the open door of the wooden shed. I inched closer and closer, walking forward, my feet drenched and covered in the muddy soil.

As I got closer to the light coming from the door, I saw the back end of my car on a raised platform in the door. The appearance of the car reminded me of driving behind a car towing horses, and only seeing the backsides of the horses.

Instead of the backsides of horses, I saw the back of my car -- with the reverse lights on, as if someone was backing the car out the lighted door of the wooden shed.

I yelled loudly and in a pleading voice, ''That's my car!", That's my car! "Please give me my car back!"

Tears welled up in my eyes as I succumbed to the powerlessness I felt as I watched something that belonged to me being taken abruptly away.

Dream or Nightmare!

In the next scene I was walking behind a man who had a wide, big afro just like the lead singer of LMFAO. In all fairness to LMFAO, I only remember seeing the back of the afro, and I do not recall the face, but I somehow knew he was LMFAO. I was not afraid, since he seemed friendly enough.

Without him saying a word to me, I knew I had to perform some sort of act, or do something in order to get my car back.

So I walked with LMFAO to a place that looked like a slaugther house. Now this is where the gruesome part comes in!

I was looking at some type of large animal that had been skinned, and his red skinned body was rolling on a pole, similar to, I think, a pig roast. Gross, slimy juices dripped from its skinned body as it rolled over and over again as the pole rotated. It's a good thing I could not smell anything in my dream (at least I didn't in this one), because the dream experience would have been even worst with the horrid scents of the slaughterhouse.

LMFAO gave me a knowing look, as if to say "You know what you have to do."

What did I do? Nothing. I just stood there, motionless, staring at the horrible looking red bloody sight, with its flesh colored skin showing in spots between the dripping blood, as it kept turning around and around on the pole.

Next, a few people appeared around the animal, and bent their heads down towards it, as if to eat the animal directly from the pole! At that time, I recalled I turned my head away, quickly, in utter disgust. I felt terrible to be in the midst of what was going on -- whatever it was!

The Flamingo Lady in My Dream

At this point, the Flamingo Lady entered the scene. It was as if LMFAO was turning me over to her.

I vividly recall the Flamingo Lady had a mysterious aura around her. She had black hair, and wore her hair cut short across her forehead. She was wearing a pink dress with a tight fitting waistline. Her pink dress had a wide skirt bottom and there were black figures or dots on her dress.

I followed the Flamingo Lady out into a wide, bare, open meadow. Onward we walked. This time the surface I walked on was beige colored sand instead of the mud I had tread over previously when I walked beside the wooden shed.

Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, an old house with peeling paint appeared in front of the Flamingo Lady and me.

The Flamingo Lady dutifully sat down at the stoop of the front door of the house. She raised her hand, touched her head, seemingly in despair and said "Why do I have to be a Flamingo Lady?"

And then I woke up.

What should I do after the Dream Ends?

Before I got up, I laid in bed and thought -- Why do I keep dreaming about the car -- and why in this dream, unlike my other dream, didn't I get the car back, or at least get a second sighting of the car? And what was the meaning of that horrific scene with the bloody animal?

Since the car appeared in both dreams, did the car symbolize something, maybe fleetingly something I've been aspiring for or something I should do? Maybe something I have not yet accomplished? If so, what was it?

Or was the message simpler, more pragmatic. For instance, should I just get additional security for the car?

LMFAO - The Nighmare part of the Dream

I'm not sure if this dream was spurred by an image on television. I watched LMFAO on one of those awards shows. I remember thinking how at one time people were elegant and polite during these shows -- which they are for the most part.

I wondered why LMFAO was standing/dancing on stage in front of milions of people with his hair unkempt, bare untoned thighs jiggling, wearing only what looked like his underwear -- and people seem to be enjoying the performance. I think his image may have stayed with me and carried over to my strange dream.

My Perception of the Dream

I'm not sure about the actual meaning of this dream, including the meaning behind the Flamingo Lady.

For now, I'm going to write it off as one of those dreams that comes and goes, with possibly no meaning and hopefully will not reoccur.

"Sometimes the best defense is the best offense!"

Just to be on the safe side, I plan to use my best offense -- and avoid images, TV etc. of LMFAO.

Just like everybody else, I want to enjoy a good night's sleep!

The Flamingo Lady Dream Update

I am writing this section exactly two days after the previous sections above. I think subconsciously, I've been thinking about the Flamingo Lady as unfinished business. For some reason I just kept thinking about her.

Thankfully, I believe I have resolved the mystery of the Flamingo Lady.

Just two days after I published The Flamingo lady, a gentleman from Europe commented on my first dream about The Gay Senator. (You can take a look at his comments on my other dream by clicking on The Gay Senator's link below).

Out of the blue, the answer came to me. I ran a few errands before sitting down to write, but the thoughts of the Flamingo Lady stayed with me throughout. I wanted to reveal that I have the answer -- which I will do right now.

Car Symbol in my Dream about the Flamingo Lady

He explained my viewing of the car at the beginning and end of my dream was a symbol of entering and exiting the dream. In other words -- being mobile in the dream. When I exited the first dream (found my car), I had seen the light, message, or resolution.

In The Flamingo Lady, the car did not reappear; therefore, there was no resolution, no exit, to the problem I faced during my dream. But what was the problem?

This is how I would imagine The Flamingo Lady's eyes would look if I could return to my dream and tell her I had resolved our mystery. She would remain in the past, (1960's), but her eyes would take on a more human like appearance.
This is how I would imagine The Flamingo Lady's eyes would look if I could return to my dream and tell her I had resolved our mystery. She would remain in the past, (1960's), but her eyes would take on a more human like appearance.

The Flamingo Lady Smiles in my Dream

I think the Flamingo Lady would graciously smile at me. Her eyes would take on a more human quality, as shown in the picture above. I would softly reveal the meaning of my dream of her and why she did not want to be The Flamingo Lady.

Relegated to a bare, open sandy meadow, instead of in the lively (no matter how gross) wooden shed, she felt inferior being left out from where the real action was -- regardless of how disgusting that action or atmosphere was. The male with the crazy, unsightly afro had authority and status within the wooden shed while she had nothing.

I would tell her that strides have been made, but there is still a long ways to go. Hopefully, she will not have to be The Flamingo Lady for long.

I would then look deeply into her new human eyes and I would tell her that she is the most beautiful Flamingo Lady I have ever seen.

Again... The Flamingo Lady will smile.

Thanks for your insightful comments. I updated The Flamingo Lady thanks to your comments on The Gay Senator. I thought it was interesting how I concluded the Flamingo Lady shortly after reading your comments.

In my dream, I am distinctly separate from the Flamingo Lady. When she was sitting in front of the stoop, I was standing looking down at her -- just as I stood beside LMFAO when he was in the wooden shed.

Very interesting analogy. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this dream.

      Thanks for your comments!

--In my humble opinion this dream is the continuation of the above but there is no hope.

--You are in a dark place and try to reach the light (safety and knowledge). You walk on tiptoe because you tread this soil disgusting and irregular (shed=world). You have lost control of your life and your power (car stolen).

-- Car = Horse because... HORSEPOWER (HP) is the name of several units of measurement of power. The unit was widely adopted to measure motors and other machinery (turbines, piston engines...)

-- LMFAO is the temtation to do something that disgusting to you but others will accept without many punches.

-- LMFAO is also a character typical of shows you know the world of music but not a musician. He is African-American. He is a charismatic character in your HOUSE can decide who should live or die with friends and the red blood stain the WHITE wall and floor (slaugther house).

-- Mrs Flamingo is an option. She is a reminder of the good old days.

-- Remember: Pink plastic Flamingo statues are popular lawn ornaments in US (since 1946).

-- Then you get to a place nice and quiet (old home) but doubts whether you should change your old ways. You are the Flamingo Lady.

      Bye from Europe.
