The Koman Race for the Cure
It's a Sea of Pink with a crisp October chill in the air, waiting to start The Race for the Cure in Little Rock,Arkansas, standing beside other great women accompanied by wonderful men cheering us on, in addition to loud but inspiring music, there is a aura or energy that is phenomenal not un-like Arkansas sports but with THIS team, us girls of the SOUTH, need a absolute and vital victory hopefully within our grasp. Gazing up at tall buildings,I can't help but think of this prosperous city marked by success. You have to experience it to believe it. Driven by passion, coming together for the same purpose and as a PEOPLE with pride, and powered by strong will, and which therefore creates miracles, the tide moves along to the bridge by it's electric ladies,I look down at the Arkansas River, and I can't help but think of sparkling streams and gorgeous lakes and rich soil. We wave at the people in canoes, having pride in my beautiful Arkansas. Being blessed with a stunning and glowing sun rise,we march cheerfully with a conviction and a belief, knowing as a Community and a State, we can do anything. THAT is the SPIRIT of Arkansas.
