Some of the most popular home products can be very useful in many ways.

As I was growing up I would use baking soda to brush my teeth not knowing that baking soda has been recommended by dentist for a long time. Baking Soda keeps the gums healthy by eliminating acid bacterial waste. Just apply a little to your wet toothbrush and gently massage your gums with the paste.

Baking Soda always came in handy when I ran out of deodorant. I would sprinkle a little under my arms which kelp me fresh all day.

Did you know that baking soda can ease the pain and discomfort of insect’s bites, rashes and poison ivy by applying a paste of baking soda mix with water? You should apply this to the skin with a moist cloth.

If you ever experience canker soars in the mouth you can make a baking soda mouth wash using only a teaspoon of the baking soda to a glass of water and stir. Rinse the mouth out with this solution. This helps relieve the pain of the sore and act as a breath freshener. Baking soda neutralizes order on contact.

What a way to sooth and condition your skin by just adding 1/2 cup of baking soda to warm bath water. This will leave your skin feeling fresh and silky smooth.

Other Things to Use Baking Soda For

* Baking soda can make scratches in your counters disappear

* Athletic Feet

* Taking a Bath in Baking soda relieves skin irritation caused by Chicken pox & Measles

* Banish pimples and blackheads by making a paste of baking soda and Hydrogen Peroxide and apply each night before you go to bed.

Even though there is many other usage of baking soda, I share with you a few that we most experience with. With only a less than a buck investment you can’t go wrong. It can save you time and money.

      Sometimes at work something will stick to the bottom of a pan, and I use baking soda on it, and it works wonders. Nice hub.

      I use it to help keep the drains from clogging. First put in 1/2 cup of baking soda in the drain (sinks and showers) and add 1 cup of vinegar. The bubbles are awesome--wait until the bubbles stop. Then run the cold water tap for about 30 seconds. It works quite well as prevention. I do it about once a month.

      Thanks yoginijoy! I'm glad you share with us the part about the clogging drains. I will definitely try this out because I have problem drains from time to time. Just those simple steps can save us time and money.

      Your hubs are so helpful. I have only used baking soda in baking and to keep the refrigerator odorless. My dad used it for brushing his teeth. But, I never knew about these other uses. Lots of great ideas here.
