The Positivity of Depression
We live in a world that is made up of people, people who are kind, people who are different, people who are mean, people who are just being people and then there are people who don’t want to even exist.
Depression. Its not a scary word, many people associate it with something that is very negative but it can also be very positive. They are scared of what it might mean but also what could happen for that one person. They are scared because the person is scared.
Life isn’t as simple as some people make it out to be, its actually the hardest fucking thing in the whole world. I mean come on we get up, have to eat to survive and then work to get money to get the food that we need so that we can eat to survive. No wonder there are so many depressed people everywhere!
But depression keeps us from being able to do that and live our lives. Clinical depression is something you are born with, you cant help it, its just constantly in the back of your mind tell you that you aren’t good enough, you’re too tired to do that one thing or your life isn’t worth living.
It is when it gets to that point that it becomes something that people are scared of. But instead of taking all that negative, turning it into a positive, proven to be very difficult, is something that depression should really be seen as.
Depression can take you to your darkest times, it can bring you down, it can put you on the edge. It when you are on the edge where you surprisingly feel the most peace, but that also is the scariest part. Its when you are at our lowest point, then you have to look and say that it can only get better from here because you are there you are alive, you are a person who’s feelings are valid, you are not your depression.
From then on you need to see yourself as being that person who was at their lowest point and rose up to not become the depression but to become you. You are capable of so much more and so much positivity because you are the one who is you, nobody else can take that away from you not even depression.
You need to see that from so much negativity, so much positivity can blossom because even in the darkest of places a flower can blossom. You are that flower, you have the power, and you are you because you can overcome your depression.
WITH ALL THE DARKNESS IN THE WORLD YOU CAN SHINE THROUGH.
