The Dreaded "C' Word

There you are yet again,

I was hoping you would have stayed gone for good

You just cannot take the hint you are not wanted

Rearing your ugly head into peoples lives,

Leaving an unforgettable but unwanted memory

Causing awful things to happen as usual,

preying on weak frail bodies

eating away at hope for a healthy strong life,

Killing any dreams for a future

Breaking hearts and breaking down bodies

Making people know the meaning of real genuine pain

Leaving an everlasting impressions on peoples bodies

That is if they are strong enough to fight you

Making babies grow up without a mother

Mothers and fathers having to bury their child

Sisters and brothers having to let go way before it should be time

Wives and husbands having to take care of each other in ways they never knew they would

You are what I consider evil to be,

I will be happy when you're gone for good

You will eventually meet your match,

I cannot wait till the day they find the cure for you

What a beautiful poem. That is why I love remembering the scripture at Revelation 21:4 which says,"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away." Our Heavenly Father Jehovah, promises that one day such things as cancer will no longer exist. I pray that this day will come soon to alleviate all of our sufferings.

I enjoyed the read on this poem. I have a dear friend who just discovered she has to undergo chemo treatments. She is facing it bravely and with great faith in God. Wonderful poem and thanks for posting it. Voted up.
