Pondering over the things that you can do after college?

It cannot be denied that many of you are wondering what will happen in the succeeding chapters of your life after college. Seems like many are still visionless of what to experience after college. No need to overthink now because here are 10 most possible things that you can do right after college and be successful at the same time.

1. Pursue Master’s Degree And Doctorate Degree

Want to change your career track? Or you just want to make progress and have better opportunities in store for you in the future? Then pursue a Master’s Degree. After a year or two of experiencing work in your specific industry, why not expand your knowledge and specialize something under your field. It will just take you 2 years or less to complete your Master’s degree. In addition, taking Master’s Degree is an opportunity for you to also make your dreams come true, be able to study in your dream university.

According to studies, people with Master’s degree earn 25% more than their equal bachelor graduates. Having a master’s degree will greatly help you in looking for a better job that offers a higher salary than your previous one. Let’s say that you’re currently earning $5,000 monthly, and if you work now having your master’s degree, your salary will probably be around $6,500 per month. What a significant increase, right?

Pursuing a Master’s Degree will not be that easy. You will still experience a lot of ups and downs on your exams and thesis. But surely, it will definitely give you an environment where you can develop your skills and learn things that you lack. It will also serve as your new training ground where you can broaden your perspective in your field and be career-wise. For some, there are two options. Either you take thesis or non-thesis.

It’s guaranteed that after you graduate, your CV will boost and you’ll probably land a secured job. Everything will be worth it and you’ll feel more confident. Also, you can earn money while studying by teaching part time at the university of your choice. You just have to fix your schedule so there’ll be no overlapping. Since Master’s Studies is a preparation to a Doctoral Level, you now have the choice of leveling up and finish Doctor of Philosophy.

After you finish all of these, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and you'll be proud of yourself. It's always worth the hard work.

2. Work For Your Dream Company

In different fields, there'll be always that one "Grand Company". It's like a big dream for employees to work in that company. You know that it is not that easy to be accepted in a grand company whereas it requires a lot of hard work and time. Before you'll be able to work, there are certain things you must consider. Here are the questions you might ask to yourself.

1. Do I know everything about that company?

"Do your research buddy!"

2. Will I be eligible to apply?

"Check your CV and judge for yourself. Also, learn how to dress properly to become more professional"

3.Can I handle the stress and the new environment?

"Be versatile and just always do your best."

3. Save Money

Don’t be such a spendthrift and start saving money! Aside from being career-wise, be wise in handling money. Saving money is a sense of preventing a financial crisis in the future.It will prevent you from financial problems like debt or stress in paying your bills. You can open a savings account in the bank nearest to you or at the most trusted bank established in your country. Banks offer you different types of bank accounts where you can choose depending on what you afford maintaining or what benefits you want to receive.

4. Start A Small Business

It is always good to have a backup source of money. What if suddenly you lost your job or your salary's not enough for some things needed at home. Then at least you have a secondary source of income. There are plenty of side businesses available and some of it are blogs, buy and sell where social media sites are your medium for marketing.

5. Travel

Traveling is a dream for most of us.Who doesn’t want a vacation where you can relax and just forget all about the paperwork you need to submit and all the stress at work. It is really helpful to unwind and redeem yourself from too much pressure at work by traveling. Sightseeing will be a great activity to calm your mind and find peace.

Nowadays, there are so many destinations that you can go either locally or internationally. You can travel with your friends, your family or your boyfriend/girlfriend. Quick tip, try your beautiful local destinations first before traveling internationally. Of course, your country has a lot to offer. Beaches, falls, breathtaking infrastructures, new and vibrant cities, mountains and so much more. Make a list of all the places you want to visit in your country and cross them out once visited.

7. Try To Learn A New Language

And today, we cannot deny the fact that Korean dramas and Korean pop had taken over Asia and some western countries. Any Korean-related thing is very popular right now. So why not study their language and definitely in a matter of time, you’ll be able to watch K-dramas without a subtitle.

There are many options on how you'll be able to learn different languages.

1. Buy translation books in the bookstore. These type of books are not expensive and are very handy.

2. Download applications from Google Play and App store. There are so many free applications where you can learn new languages that can be downloaded in your phone store.

3. If you have enough money and you're really into learning other languages, then you consider language teaching centers. Enroll in their school and start learning the language you are interested with.
