This is not a diet
We've all been there. Summer's coming up and you want to look good on the beach. So you get online and find a diet that you think suits your needs. You go for a couple months, and you look awesome. Everything is going great! At least, until the summer ends and you're back to coke and midnight Taco Bell runs. Eventually you'll get all the weight back that you worked to hard to lose. Then next year you do that exact same thing all over again.
Here's the thing. All of that hard work is pointless. You shouldn't be "healthy" for a couple months so people can see how good you look. You should keep your body in check for you! It's you who has to deal with your stretch marks or your muffin top everyday. So you should lose the extra fat and go on runs for you. So many Americans suffer from obesity or diabetes it's insane! Now, I'm not saying that you have to be a Dwayne Johnson or Lance Armstrong, but you should be able to at least run up your stairs without being short of breath.
So, how can you get there. Well, at this point someone would suggest a diet that " Will make you lose weight fast!", but I'm not going to do that. I'm going to give you a lifestyle.
Before I start explaining the Lifestyle Plan, I want to make something clear. You should be doing this for you. Don't starve yourself or whatever to get someones attention, do it so the you can feel better and so that you can have the capabilities to do so much more.
Okay. Here it goes.
Rule 1: Don't have cheat meals - I know that cheat meals are something to look forward to, but it ruins your progress. The longer you stay away from sugars and processed things, the easier it gets.
Rule 2: No Sodas! - This is a huge one. I know you may feel the need to have a cold coke with your burger, but don't! Have some water or unsweetened iced tea instead.
Rule 3: Avoid processed foods - It's so easy to just grab a hot pocket if you're in a hurry, but it's honestly better to just not eat at all. Processed foods are filled with chemicals that actually eat your gut, and hinder your digestion.
Rule 4: Limit bread products - I've pretty much eliminated bread from my diet, and I feel so much better. Now, it's okay if you have a sandwich for lunch, but just don't have some at every meal. It stops the digestion of some vitamins, and it makes you feel bloated.
And that's it! It's four simple, easy rules that will really help you lose weight and improve the way you feel overall.
