The thyroid gland is an endocrine gland which plays a very important role in metabolism. It also influences other important parts of our body like the kidneys, brain, heart and the skin. This gland releases hormones into our blood stream to regulate the functioning of the above mentioned organs. An essential mineral iodine from the food we intake is taken up by the thyroid gland. This iodine is essential for thyroid support as it is the mineral used to make the hormones by the gland.

Why Thyroid Supplements?

Sometimes due to poor nutrition, the gland is unable to make the necessary amount of hormones. This is when one needs to take a thyroid supplement. When the production of the hormone is lesser than what is needed by the body hypothyroidism supplements are taken to manage the imbalance. The supplements regulates the generation of the thyroid hormones thus brings the body metabolism on track.
