The Mediterranean, not the North Pole!

The Mediterranean Diet....

I have mentioned to several people in the weighht loss group that "The Mediterranean Diet" is so much in the public domain that nobody promotes it, because they can't make any money pushing it!

The whole grain pastas, brown rice pasta, or brown rice, good tomato sauces, textured soy protein "meat(less) balls," cooking with olive oil, stir frying or steam frying of vegetables, lots of fruits to snack on, yogurt dips using those Ramen seasoning packets for flavoring the dips, adding ground flax seeds in the dips, lots of cut and raw veggies for snacking, combined with some herbal teas you like, sweetened with a non-bitter Stevia "sweetener" as iced teas with mint leaves, lemon, lime, etc. These constitute the essence of my version of "The Mediterranean Diet."

You can use Xylitol, which like Stevia doesn't really affect the glycemic index of these combined foods.

Include this dietary approach when planning your five to seven nutritious snack-sized meals for the day.

This, plus setting the reasonable targets of "The 2% Solution" for your weight loss will see you through to your goal and a reasonable target date.

It doesn't take sticking to just one diet to reach and maintain your healthy weight/BMI goals.

This is not a "snack-sized" meal, but it has a lot to commend itself.
