Lifestyle factors like lack of sleep, stress, anxiety, smoking, drinking act also affect skin health. There are thousands of products on the products that promise a glowing and glittering skin but most of these are made of chemicals that are detrimental to the skin. It is better to rely on home remedies using natural substances to obtain a clear and fair skin

Turmeric: Turmeric is a wonderful gift of nature. It is a powerful antiseptic that acts against germs and microorganisms. Turmeric has been used by women in India for centuries and is a major secret of their beauty. Turmeric can lighten skin over a period of time and is effective against infectious skin problems.

*** Grind Turmeric along with Neem leaves and apply the paste on your face and elsewhere on your body. This is a very powerful medicinal mix which will clear impurities and infections. It will remove scars from your face. Once washed off, it will give a fair and glowing appearance.

***One can do a Facial at home using Turmeric. Mix Turmeric with milk and a little gram flour. Apply the paste on your face and neck and gently massage in circular motion. Leave it for 30 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. This will lighten your Skintone. Regular use will yield good results. One can also mix Turmeric with Pine apple juice. This can be used as a face mask

Lemon and Honey: This is another powerful Skin solution. Lemon is rich in Vitamin C. It is also a good bleaching agent. Honey has anti-microbial properties that can keep off infections. Lemon-Honey mixture is highly effective in removing dead skin cells. It will also lighten the skin tone. In fact, it’s one of the best Skin lightening solutions available naturally

***Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of honey and apply around your face and neck. Leave for 15-20 minutes and then wash it off. You can apply this mixture elsewhere on your body where you have dark spots.

Curd/Yogurt Face pack: Curd has anti-bacterial and astringent properties. It can fight acne and remove dead skin cells. It can also moisturize the skin

***Mix 2 teaspoons of curd with 1 teaspoon of Rice and apply the paste on the skin. Leave for 20 minutes and wash it off. This is a powerful home remedy for clear skin

Fenugreek: Fenugreek is an excellent remedy for acne/pimples. It controls the oil secretion in the skin through the sebaceous glands. It also softens the skin.

***Soak 1 teaspoon of fenugreek in a bowl of water for 4-5 hours. Make a paste with the moist fenugreek and apply on your face and neck. You can even drink the left off water. It is an excellent remedy for cooling the body

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera has excellent anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and astringent properties. It is effective against scars. It is also a good moisturizer.

***Extract Aloe Vera gel from the Aloe Vera plant and apply directly on your face. Leave for 30 minutes and then rinse it off.

Baking Soda: Baking soda is available in almost every household. It is effective against acne and blackheads. Baking soda also balances the pH level of the skin.

***Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with a teaspoon of lemon and apply on the face. Rinse off after 15-20 minutes

Papaya Face pack: Papaya is rich in Vitamin C. Eating Papaya purifies the blood and rejuvenates the skin. Instead of throwing away the outer hard skin of the fruit, one can use it as a natural facial scrub. One can also make a paste using Papaya pulp and honey and sandalwood powder and apply on the face
