Five Quick Weight Loss Tips

Updated on February 7, 2014

Quick Weight Loss

Most of us know that quick weight loss is not easy. To have sustained and healthy weight loss it should be done slowly over an extended period of time. But sometimes you need a quick weight loss fix to make something fit or to look your best for an upcoming event, like a wedding. I'm not talking 20 pounds in a week here, but I am telling you that noticeable results are possible in a month. If you are prepared to commit for 30 days to five quick weight loss suggestions below I guarantee you results.

So without further ado, here are my top 5 fast weight loss tips to help you get started. Please be aware that some tips msy have you seeing results in a week and others might take a full thirty days. And as always, consult your physician before undertaking any weight loss program.

Bread, pasta, potatoes and rice will be a no-no while you try to lose weight.

1. Say Goodbye to Carbs

For quick weight loss, carbs cannot be part of the equation. Not forever, just for a month. I don’t believe that a no carb diet is sustainable or even pleasant for that matter, but it is possible for thirty days and you can’t deny the results. Even one week of carb-free eating will have you seeing a significant drop on the scale. Be sure to watch for hidden carbs though, fruit will be a no go for this month, but you can fill your plate with tons of vegetables.

To make it easier on yourself, why not post a list of no carb foods on your fridge to keep you on track. And a container of pre-cut celery in your fridge will help you stave off the munchies. Some go to foods for snacking to ensure quick weight loss are plain almonds, natural peanut butter, boiled eggs and any low carb veggie like cucumbers. Having these snacks prepared and available in advance will help you reach your quick weight loss goal.

2. Give up Salt

It may not help you lose physical pounds, but with the amount of bloat you lose from cutting sodium out of your diet you will look and feel like you have lost more weight and you will be a lot healthier for it. This tip is one worth hanging onto for the long run.

Have a cup of green tea at least 3 times a day.

3. Drink Only Water & Green Tea

For quick weight loss, these are the only two things you should drink. Water flushes the toxins from your system and can help you feel full and green tea boosts your metabolism and overall health. If you drink diet soda, stop now. It is chocked full of sodium and studies have shown that your body reacts to the sugar substitute in diet pop the same way it does to sugar. If you can make drinking like this a way of life you are definitely on the road to getting to and maintain a healthy weight.

4. Workout in the Morning Before you Eat

The best time of day to burn fat and boost your metabolism with exercise for quick weight loss is first thing in the morning when you get up. Your body will turn to your fat stores instead of the calories you have just consumed to give you energy to power through your workout. Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity and try to do fat burning exercise like fast walking or cycling and leave the weight training for later in the day.

Make it as easy as possible for yourself by laying out your work out gear the night before and maybe even finding a fitness buddy to do it with you. It's easy to talk yourself out of getting out of bed in the morning to go for that light jog, but if someone is waiting for you you're more likely to do it.

If possible try to vary your activities so you are not working the same muscles everyday. You could take a brisk walk one morning, cycle the next and opt for yoga every third day. To see quick weight loss results you need to change it up and be sure to fit your workout in before you eat.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar Tablets

Sometimes we need a little extra support in an effort to reach our quick weight loss goals. And although most over the counter diet aids don't actually do much, I've tried many, some do take the edge off an help you feel full. Like apple cider vinegar tablets. The brand you choose should be all natural and not overly expensive. A few tablets taken before you eat helps you feel full and keep you on track to quick weight loss. If possible try to take the tablets about a half hour before you eat to give them a chance to do their magic. Don't ever skip taking them, even if it's right before the meal. Although they might not help as much with appetite suppression during the meal, they will rev your metabolism and keep you from snacking between meals.

Apple cider vinegar tablets are my top choice for quick weight loss because they are all natural and not overly expensive. Always consult your physician before adding a supplement to your diet if you are currently on medication to prevent any troublesome interactions.

With these five simple tips you are armed with the tools of quick weight loss success. A new, slimmer, healthier you could be mere 30 days away.

Good luck and good health!

I think these can be quick permanent weight loss tips if you ease into them gradually. None of them seem particularly difficult to maintain over the long term. Voting this Up and Useful.

I agree with you totally, the straight stuff tastes awful, the pills are much better option.

Just went through this and what caught my eye straightaway were the Apple Cider tablets. I used to take Apple Cider Vinegar. Didn't really like the smell, so I think these tablets are a great alternative, and thanks for introducing me to them, Thundermama!

Some good tips here. Drinking a large glass (8 ounces) of water before main meals also helps one feel full faster.

Can we add just one more? "Stay busy"! Nothing like being bored to make us snack too often.

Great hub. I have heard tho that if you eat within half an hour of getting up, this boosts your metabolism straight away and if you exercise immediately after I would say it would extend the effect.
