True Happiness and Love

Updated on July 6, 2014
Cyprus | Source

I am sharing this hub in an attempt to share my view about happiness and love.

In addition, I am hoping that after reading others will realize that true happiness actually comes from within.

True Happiness

Happiness is the easiest thing to find yet sometimes people are too blind to see!

Happiness is under our nose, really. It is neither about the money nor the material things. I would rather support that true happiness is actually about love and listening to your hearts desires. Listen to your heart and you will find your way they say. Many people say that they have listened to their heart but they found nothing. They support that the only ting they accomplished by following their heart was to get hurt, so they refuse to do the same mistake twice. The fact is that we learn form our mistakes. Of course we do get hurt at times; remember that where there is love there is also pain. However, you must allow you’re pain to be your teacher.

So what if you failed once? twice or more times? Where there is success there was also failure. Yes, you've been hurt in the past, so have billions and billions of people surrounding you. Thus, through pain we come to realize what true happiness is really all about.

Remember “Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional”.

  • Should we not continue loving because we've been hurt?
  • Are we not allowed to be happy because we have been through so much pain?
  • Are we not successful because we once have failed?

Of course the answer to all these questions is NO.

I believe that the most powerful and positive force in the universe is love. So you should love your self and everyone and everything around you. Be grateful for the bad instances which occurred in your life and even be grateful to the people who have hurt you because without them you wouldn't have learned.

Love and accept who you are and if you don’t like whom you are, or you don’t like something you do, you have the ability to change. Don’t fill your heart with hatred and pain. You have the right to be happy. But in order to be happy you must open your heart.

One of the things I am absolutely sure about is that God is love, and He (=love) can help you change. By enabling love to enter your heart and mind you can become a whole new person. True happiness comes from within!

Here is something to think of:

If God is our creator and God is love, wouldn’t He want us to fill our minds with beautiful loving thoughts? Wouldn’t He want us to fill our hearts with love? Doesn’t He want to provide to His children and see His children happy?

“Therefore I say unto to you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” –Mark 11:24, KJV-

Thank you very much Kathy. It's so nice to know that you agree with what I was trying to say with this hub. We certainly have the choice to either live our lives in happiness or in sadness. There might be pain at times but we shouldn't allow this to take over, we should rather learn from it and develop!

      Your comments are truly appreciated,

So true, great insight. Without pain how would we appreciate happiness. Seems that we take potentially joyous moments for granted until darkness occurs. I try to celebrate positive times more often as I can honestly say that I don't much care for the alternative. Happiness is one of those lifelong learning experiences so thanks for sharing a bit of blissful clarity. Well done

      Hi Danast,

Thank you so much for your kind words :) I was looking forward to hearing from you and I am just thrilled that you enjoyed reading this hub!

Giving up shouldn't be an option, we should always stand back on our two feet and fight no matter what. Filling our hearts with pain and hatred will only turn us into unhappy and negative individuals. I think that we all deserve happiness and it is up to us to be happy.

Thanks again for reading and commenting Danast :)

I hope you have a lovely day,

Thank you very much penlady. I am so happy you enjoyed reading!

When I wrote this I came to a point where I realized that I should allow my pain to be my teacher, rather than looking back in regrets and sadness. Life is not about holding pain in your heart but learning and evolving into a stronger and happier person. I am now grateful for both bad and good instances which occurred in my life, because without them I wouldn't be the person I am today.

I am thrilled that you gave emphasis on two of the most important parts of this hub! Thank you so much for your encouraging words, as well as for your votes. Your support is truly appreciated!

May you have a wonderful day,

This is so true! Wonderful words of wisdom! Great hub! I think that it takes more strength to continue with an open heart after you have been hurt several times, than to build a wall around it for fear of getting hurt. And, yes, God does tell us to ask, and we shall receive. God wants a soft, open heart. Those are the kind of hearts that He can work with and use for good things. Hardened hearts promote hatred, revenge, and more pain. Negativity always breeds negativity, and some days it's so hard to remain positive, but through prayer with our Creator through Jesus Christ, we can beat the negative. We can't give up. We've got to keep on trying, even after we have taken a hard fall. Have a blessed day, Chris!

This is so beautiful. You made two points that I wish to touch basis on:

      1) You must allow you’re pain to be your teacher.

This is so true. Pain is the best teacher because it helps us to grow. It enables us to learn from our mistakes and work to not repeat them. Nobody likes getting hurt, but in life, it will happen. The best way to deal with it is to do as you suggested: let your pain be your teacher.

      2) Be grateful for the bad instances which occurred in your life and even be grateful to the people who have hurt you because without them you wouldn't have learned.

Again, pain and the people who cause it help us to grow. Without them, we wouldn't know better. And when you know better, you do better.

Thanks so much for sharing such beautiful thoughts. Voted up, beautiful and shared.

      Hi Annie,

I absolutely agree with you. I have met so many people who have been through so much pain in their lives yet you would never be able to tell, these are the people who know what true happiness is about and realize that everything happens for a reason so they chose happiness over sadness.

Thank you for reading and commenting!

      Have a lovely day,

Excellent Hub, Chris! I believe we either choose to be happy or unhappy ... I choose happiness for myself.
