Universal Healthcare Bad for People Working for Insurance Companies

Updated on September 7, 2012

What is the health care bill?

Obama and most of Congress are trying to pass this historic health care bill by the end of the year. The US is the only industrialized nation that does not have a universal health care system. Most people are saying that this bill is a bad idea and that it will create socialism in America. The world will end if the United States has universal health care. This is true. Almost all of Europe has had universal health care for some time and you can clearly see how ineffective their system is.

The reason our healthcare system is so messed up is because the government had gotten involved. Once government got involved in medical care they got in between the doctor and the patient and were one of the reason prices are so high. The government put money into medicare and medicaid which they had to print and it inflated the costs of medical care. In the past people didn't need insurance and could afford a doctors visit without it. When my grandfather would take my dad to the doctor when he was young it would cost him 3 dollars for a visit and 5 dollars for a home visit. This is how healthcare would be if the government would just stay out of it. Instead, govt got involved created useless regulations, pushed prices up and eliminated competition.

I hope we restore the republic we once had, where freedom, free markets, and sound money are of importance again.

Why Freedom Works and is True Patriotism

We really don't need government to take care of us. We can handle our own lives. If you think about it most of us work, purchase goods, pay bills, budget without government help. Government just gets in the way while stealing money. Most functions the federal government took on were meant to be left to the states. Instead the federal government is getting involved in many areas they don't have authority.

Healthcare is important but it is not a right. You have the right to your life and your liberty but not to objects or things. You can work and pay for healthcare but when government gets involved price goes up and quality goes down. The reason people can't afford it is because of government and they are expecting government to fix the problem because they just don't understand what is happening. Things haven't been this bad until 30 years ago government decided to start controlling the healthcare industry.
