Upgrade your mind
“ When the tough gets going the going gets tough”. In situations like these you need to keep a strong state of mind to keep you going and adjust to any adversity that may come your way. Another quote you want to keep in mind is “When there's a will there’s a way” With a strong state of mind you're more confident than before; its as if you can take on any challenge. You can have a better outlook on life itself with the right state of mind and you will be able to find opportunities in bad situations (for example, the current state of the economy). Here are some routines and rituals that you can do that can keep your mind positive and strong.
First you need a plan, so ask yourself what are you trying to accomplish or what it is that you love to is do? Your plan is like the blueprints of your life in a way. Once you have your plan the first thing you should do is to write them out in detail and what is that you are trying to accomplish. You should also place your plans some place where you"ll see it every day. This is very important, because this will keep your goals on your mind and force you to take action and track your progress. Try to plan out your day with a daily to-do-list; order them from top priority to bottom. Break your plan down into very small steps and start with the one that is easiest to you of course. For example if the easiest step on your list is to open up a saving account then do so. These small little victories will excite you while at the same time motivate you to move to the next step.
This may sound a bit silly at first, but let’s face, we don’t always have our game face on everyday nor do we even bother to put it on sometimes. Do you talk to people knowing that you’re a little musty or that your breath smells like yesterday’s dinner and today's breakfast? It's important to always do your morning hygiene routine. This makes us feel good about ourselves and allow us to do our best, even at that dreaded job you hate so much, you’ll come to work with a smile on your face ready to work. You know what they say; you look good you feel good. So the next time you wake up in the morning and you decide not to brush your teeth take, a shower and the other morning rituals that we sometimes forget, just know your only hurting yourself.
We all know that a proper exercise routine will have you looking good, but can also have you feeling good, like a million bucks some would say. It helps reduce anxiety and stress of current issue you maybe facing. Exercising releasing hormones such as endorphins, which makes you feel happy after a workout. It also increases the blood flow to your brain and which give your brain more oxygen. After a workout, you may find yourself more productive. So there are big benefits to working out, even if it’s a brisk walk around your neighborhood, use it to clear your mind of the garbage that tries to clutter your mind.
A good book
Reading a good book is a good way to start your day. It can lift your spirits up. It could be a book on your career, which could stimulate your imagination.
A good nights sleep
A good and proper sleep is the best way to start your day. If you had a meeting in the morning it wouldn't be a bright idea to go to sleep around midnight. A proper sleep will make you more alert and more energized. To get a proper sleep you'll need a set bedtime schedule. Another thing you should do is turn off all electronic devices from you laptop to your television (if you’re scared of the dark buy a nightlight). We all know that you should get at least eight hours of sleep, but some people may need more.
Ask yourself this, can you really focus when your surrounding area is unorganized and dirty? With a dirty room you’ll be distracted with small to-do-list like organize your desk, or clean out your closet. A clean house helps you relax and focus on the task in front of you. So take the time before you begin work and clean your work area and clear your mind of all the small distractions.
OK this is very important, having a good financial health build confidence. In these times we live many people are scared to take chances. They don’t want to make any investments fearing that it will be a waste of time and that it will put in debt or in some cases, a greater debt. To keep and maintain good financial health, you’ll need to start making some cut backs. For example, you can save a lot more money by simple cooking your own food (go figure). Another example would be to use a prepaid phone, instead of having a monthly plan. The first thing you should do is go over your bank statement and see where you can trim some of the fat. One little tip would be to save up to at least 1000 dollars for emergency funds.
I have said this in some of my other writings, because this is very important ;you want your work to feel as if it was worth it. After all that work you put in, don't you think you've earn it? You could have a party, take a vacation, or just go shopping. Keep in mind that when your vacation is over, its back to work.
Time to reflect
Take the time to look back and see all the things you have done and where you’re trying to go. The best time to do this would be in the morning when everyone is sleep. Everyone need some alone time to clear their mind, so use that time to take stock of where you’re at and how far you have to go. It is important that you write down your findings.
Bad times will come and go, but its up to you to determine how long they will be around in your life. There is always a sliver lining, so don't get discourage just remain calm and tackle each problem one at a time.
