Although conventional wisdom suggests that a sensible diet and plenty of exercise are the best ways to lose weight, we all know that there are certain things you can do to help your body along the process.

Some things will be more effective than others – what differentiates the “fad” from the fact is the degree to which a particular food is actually effective in helping you to lose weight.

There is one type of food which you almost certainly have never considered for weight loss before. Mostly because it’s not normally considered a food – but also because it’s generally regarded as a weed.

How Does Stinging Nettle Tea Help Me Lose Weight?

As a natural diuretic, stinging nettles cause your body to lose weight by shedding water. Although certain to provide short term weight loss, use of stinging nettles exclusively and excessively as a weight loss measure should be avoided over a long period, so as not to become dehydrated.

As a side benefit to using stinging nettles, you will find an increased level of general wellbeing. As a diuretic, by shedding excess water from your body you will also be expelling toxins and pollutants from your body.

The most efficient method of absorbing the benefits of stinging nettles is in a tea. By incorporating this simple to prepare drink into your diet, you will be well positioned to enjoy the subtle, though noticeable effects that this tea will have on your body.

Make Your Own Stinging Nettle Tea!

The Most Inexpensive Weight Loss Method Ever?

You can experiment with different blends of herbs or fruit juices to create a drink which will give you the maximum effect for your body type. If you make your own stinging nettle tea, try adding a few drops of lemon juice to increase your metabolic rate.
