Weight Loss Updates
Goal Weight: 150lbs or less
(Weight Loss Goal Completed April 18th, 2014) 149lbs.
Update: January 2014- almost there: 158lbs! (Note to self: No more Soda Tammy lol)
Yikes- Weight in January 2011- 175lbs.
Weight in April 2012 at Age 30 is 179lbs. (Not doing so great on weight loss since started working from home full time.)
Weight in Dec. 2012- Down to 172lbs. Yes....I am on a role now losing weight. It helps when you exercise for sure.
2014 Weight is 147 lbs.
Help losing Weight

Like thousands of other people, my New Years Resolution is to lose weight. I have never really been the person to worry too much about my weight. I have always been athletic and skinny. Unfortunately, I am here to say that the time has come to start losing weight. I know many of you struggle also with your weight and tonight I watched the television show "The Biggest Loser." I do not want to end up begging to be on that show. Although I love to watch it, sometimes I worry that if I don't lose weight soon, I will be praying for help just like all those Biggest Loser contestants.
I have imported a photo of me for a before picture of my weight and how I look. Believe me, I don't feel very confident in the photo. I am by far a Jillian Michaels but I will hopefully be back to my healthy, athletic and skinny self after I lose weight. By this time next year, I will hopefully have an after photo of me.

I am starting a new weight loss journal on my personal blog. It will show details on how much weight I want to lose and my weight loss tips that I learn along the way. Today it has only been 3 days since I started my weight loss resolution and I have already lost 2lbs. I know it isn't much at all but it is a great way to start losing weight.
Weight Loss Tips that I have learned so far!
Take small steps to your weight loss goal.
Lose weight by drinking water instead of sodas and sweet drinks.
Lose weight by exercising, not starving. Eat foods that help build muscle. Try to avoid breads, sweets, packaged foods, mayonnaise and pastas.
It isn't going to be easy but it is possible to lose weight.
Everyone has their own body type and everyone has their favorite foods which probably doesn't help with their weight loss goals. My favorite drink that keeps me from losing weight is Mountain Dew. I drink mountain dew like it is water. I know from experience that I need to stop drinking Mt. Dew and start drinking water. I don't hate water but I don't like it either. So if you have a favorite food or drink that you know is not helping you lose your weight, then you need to stop or slowly decrease your intake of that food or drink.
Things that I have changed so far since I started my weight loss resolution.
I have been slowing down on my soda consumption and believe me that is hard to do when I am use to drinking a 2 liter of Mt.dew everyday for 10 years. I have cut that down to a half two liter a day, which is still way too much soda for the human body.
I have been doing 50 sit ups every night with my daughter before she goes to bed. We take turns holding each others legs while we complete our daily exercise.
To help lose weight, I have also been eating far less sweets and greasy foods. Like those delicious Mexican American Tacos that I make so well.
Things I plan to change to help meet my New Years Weight Loss resolution!
Since I only work part-time, I have time to exercise at a local gym. I am trying to determine if I want a membership at the local fitness club or try out Snap Fitness. The great thing about the local fitness club is that I will be able to take my family there. The great thing about the Snap Fitness is that I will be able to go exercise when my daughter is in school or sleeping because it is a 24/7 fitness club. Snap fitness also fits better with my financial exercise budget.
Well I hope I didn't bore everyone with my weight loss resolution. I am excited to lose weight and hopefully this article gives you some weight loss motivation and exercise tips. I will try to update you on my blog on how things are going for me. Please follow my weight loss journey at my blog.
Weight Loss Update 2014
Wow, what a journey. It took me so long but my weight loss goal is complete. It is now April 18th, 2014 and my weight is 149 lbs. I did it! It has been since 2011 that I wrote this article on my weight loss goals. I guess I could of done it sooner knowing what I know now but the important thing is I completed my goal.
Words of encouragement to all of you looking to lose weight, "Don't give Up" !! It may seem impossible sometimes to lose those extra pounds of unwanted fat but it is possible. Remember to never give up and learn from the steps you take towards your goal.
For example, this whole time I knew I needed to slow down on drinking so much Mt. Dew. It just took me a while to actually be consistent on it. I also knew that the more active I was, the more pounds I would eventually shed. I am not going to start all over and pig out on sodas or certain foods. I am still wanting to lose more weight. My weight loss goal will continue until I am at a more healthy weight.
Tip to loosing weight: STAY ACTIVE AND EAT REASONABLY! Find an active sport or task you like and continue being active.
