What Will Make Me Want To Lose Weight?

Updated on October 2, 2019

Weight Loss

Doesn't is just seem that we need a some sort of tricky solution to losing weight. All of the other ones take a lot of work. Does this mean we should give up on the hopes of having the body that we really want? Not if you really, really want it.

What does this mean? Simply put, it means we shouldn't stop fighting bad food, and inactivity. The way to maintain an interest in keeping up with the program you know is best for yourself, is to keep seeking inspiration. Find reasons to carry on with the fight on fat. Even if the only reason you want to do it, is to be able to cross your legs comfortably, then go with that. It doesn't matter what motivates you, it matters only if you're motivated.

We all need constant reminders of what we want so that we can feel we're on a path to getting just that. A fast way to do this is to put a picture of yourself up on the frig with the body you once had. If you have never had the body you want, put up a picture of someone who's lost weight and let them make you think before you eat. Putting up a similar photo in your car is also a good idea because we pass fast food restaurants all of the time, and we have to get in our cars to go to the grocery store. You could even go as far as to tape the photo on the front of your cart when you're in the store picking out healthy foods. Now don't use a picture of a fat person you don't want to be, make sure it's positive, and what you want for the rest of your life.

So you see there are little tricks you can use while losing weight. Let's go over some of them. By the way, why not use all the tricks at the same time to multiply your chances for success. One behavior you've always heard of is to drink plenty of water throughout the day for several reasons but, one of them is to feel full when it's not time to eat. Another is to wash, chop, and store fruits and veggies so they'll be at an arm's length away when needed. Make a menu for the week before you make your shopping list, then you'll get all of the things you'll need to make low-cal, nutritious meals. Remember too that is a bad idea to go to the store or anywhere hungry. You can't think and you'll run off and eat something that you know you shouldn't, and feel bad. The feeling bad will lead to more thoughtless behavior and before you know it you're spinning your wheels.

While eating go slow. It takes 20 minutes for you to feel full. If you're starting out with a salad use the dressing on the side. Dip your fork in the dressing before loading it and you won't use as much. If you love bread and it's something you can eat, try brushing a flat bread with light olive oil and sprinkle seasonings on top and warm for a short time.

Before you go off to the store to buy the items you need, you could try the old trick of fastening a slim belt under your clothing to keep you thinking about you svelte self. If you don't have a slim belt a piece of string will achieve the same purpose. While we talking about body reminders, another method of working on yourself when you need to stop a certain eating behavior, is to put a rubber band on your wrist and snap it when the thought something bad for you takes you over. Saying "stop" when you do this intensifies the result.

There are also things like brushing your teeth after every meal or snack to keep you mouth fresh and not tasting like any sort of spice or anything. A fresh mouth will keep you thinking of your smile and not your stomach. Staying neat and clean all over is a great idea because we feel we can get up and out, and do things if we're looking and feeling our best. This in and of itself may lead you to go for a walk or something. Exercise has a way of motivating you on your weight loss program because you realize how much effort it takes to burn off certain foods. As always check with your doctor before making any nutritional or activity changes,

In addition, sleep in the proper amounts is necessary to function on any level especially when you're attempting a difficult goal. You can't feel sleepy. Often this makes us want to eat, not realizing that we're just tired. Relaxation and time for the fun things in life also helps when you're on a path of change of any sort. Knowing that you're life has meaning while you're trying to get where you're going is a big thing. You know you've heard that you've got to accept yourself, and love yourself before making any change. This makes sense because if you're happy about all of the other things in your life then you'll be able to approach the task of losing weight with vim and vigor.

Nicely written. Not the same tips you see all the time. I think that is the first time I have been told about the belt.

I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for sharing!
