Weight loss with Ayurveda Detox

Updated on May 2, 2013

Weight loss results after taking the Ayurveda detox tea and Triphala

3.2 stars from 38 ratings of Weight loss with Ayurveda recipe

5 types of Ayurveda ingredients suggested by Kulreet Chaudhary, MD a Neurologist in Dr Oz's show, are so cheap that you will not spend a penny on useless fat loss products.

Among the 5 types of fat fighting Ayurveda recipes written on Dr Oz's website, I personally preferred the Detox Tea and Triphala the reason being, the ingredients were conveniently accessible for me. I did feel lighter after 3-4 weeks and the results were PROMISING but, of cause some may take longer or even faster depending on how your body is able to adapt to the tea and the Triphala.

The tea is not that pleasant tasting but, you will be able to adapt to the taste along your way. Together with the Detox tea and the Triphala tablet, I did follow a clean diet and regular workout. I would say that, this tea and tablet has speed up 2 times the process of my weight loss because, normally I would take longer than it took to lose my weight.

Cook Time

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 15 min
Ready in: 20 min
Yields: 1 person

Ingredients

  • 4-5 cups Water, Boil water for 5 -10 mins
  • 1/2 tsp Whole cumin seeds, Add immediately after water starts to boil
  • 1/2 tsp Whole fennel seeds, Add immediately after water starts to boil
  • 1/2 tsp Whole coriander seeds, Add immediately after water starts to boil

Preparation Method

  1. In the morning, boil 4 cups of water and add the 3 types of seeds into the boiling water and continue boiling for 5 minute until the nutrients from the seeds are being extracted.
  2. Carefully strain the Detox tea into a thermo flask and drink it throughout the day. You do not need to fast or take it on an empty stomach consume it till you finish the entire batch. It is best drunk warm or hot. Do not worry if you finish the detox tea before dinner time or earlier. You do not need to redo the detox tea. According to my daily ritual for the detox tea, I only take the 4cup detox tea for a day. Do it everyday and you will be able to see improvement after 3-4 weeks time.
  3. Triphala tablet use: I followed Dr Oz's website specification for the consumption of the Triphala tablet and took only 2 tablets one hour before bedtime. Do check the bottle for consumption details.
