What Is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by reduction or pause of breathing during sleep. Each pause is called apnea that may last from few seconds to minutes. This may occur very frequently about 5- 30 times or more in an hour. Each abnormal slow breathing event is called hypopnea.
Normally breathing start after every attack and some times with loud snort or choking sound. Sleep apnea is a chronic condition that disrupts normal sleep cycles.
