More women are affected by Depression.
Irrespective of the background of the individual, depression can creep up to you at anytime.
Bare in mind that the signs of Depression are not the same in men and as it is in women.
Why are Women are so affected by Depression?
Hormonal changes ave lots to do with Depression.
Premenstrual syndrome is one of the biggest problems a week before menstruation.
Many women in that state of mind become irritable with mood swings.
They tend to shout unnecessarily and a woman can feel like everything around her has fallen apart.
Depression has something to do with genetic factors.
Abused Individuals are affected from childhood.
Psychological issues causes Depression.
The characteristics can affect ones personality and this too can lead to depression.
Women tend to overact when a certain task fails and get all worked up about it.
Problems made make women feel guilty and they blame themselves for what had gone wrong.
This can be taxing on their minds.
Negatively speaking the individual becomes helpless and feel emotionally destroyed.
A friend of mine went through a bad time a few years ago.
I had to spend time with her and after many conversations realized Depression can be fatal.
Her son also has a problem with Depression.
A couple years ago he had a failed relationship. It was sad to see him is such a poor state of mind.
He became depressed and did not leave his home for many days.
He had delusions and was diagnosed with Severe Depression.
It was a tough time but he passed with new lifestyle changes his moods increased positively over time he healed.
How are Men Affected by Depression?
The symptoms in men are not always visible as is in women.
Pay attention to the subtle symptoms, like when a man feels hopeless or cries constantly these are outward signs to look out for in the male side of Depression.
Men become angry and feel a sense of irritability and don't see themselves as depressed. Instead blame their negative feelings on a bad day or a bad relationship with their partner or boss.
Men tend to drink alcohol excessively, or start to use illegal drugs.
They don't see their problem as Depression.
Do you think Depression is becoming more prevalent in society?
Overall the answer, yes!
I live in a small community.
It is easy hear of or come into contact with such individuals.
The last few years have been traumatic with teenagers taking their lives from the cause of depression.
Even the older people are depressed and don't know how to fix their lives.
The advanced world has got Croatia by surprise and the community is faced with many modern life issues.
The country has grown too fast and parenting is laid back here. Most parents fail to pay attention to what goes on in their children's lives.
Cases such as one person was found hung up in their basement, another jumped off a bridge, are some of the tragedies which remains unexplained to their families.
The individuals took their own lives and left the rest of the family thinking of many questions and no correct answers to help them out.
The loss of jobs, poor communication, poor parenting skills, bad relationships financial issues drug or alcohol abuse, are part of depression.
Any other addictions can lead to Depression. The move to a different place or bad habits can cause you to be Depressed.
People don't look at life as any other, especially when depressed.
You never know when something can go wrong. When I watched the movie Unsaid it broke my heart to see how a family was torn apart due to the gruesome past.
A boy of seventeen took his life and his father found him dead in the car this was just too emotional to take it all in.
Based on a true story Unsaid got me thinking even more about parenting skills.
A parent can try their hardest to spend time with their children and think they know their children well enough.
However, that is not the case in many families. Parents don't always see the actual signs of Depression.
The seventeen year old boy was a withdrawn child. He did not want to be with anyone or go anywhere and was irritable, and bored,
Most of the time he stayed in his room and the parents did not see this as some of the symptoms of Depression.
Happiness disappears from the Depressed individual. The moment of joy no longer exists. The joy in a child's life can vanish from a bad childhood experience, and from there on the sadness sets in.
If you ask a depressed individual if they are happy there won't be an answer.
It is difficult for them to understand or say how they feel.
The personality changes for depressed individuals, and most of the time they don't even know that they are depressed.
Dysthymia is what most individuals are diagnosed with and this is a common problem. It is close to depression.
Women are affected by Dysthymia more than men are and it is a relative to clinical depression.
Sleepless nights can be one of the symptoms of clinical depression. If you go to bed at the same time every night and still can't fall asleep, and if you go to bed at a later time, and still fail to fall asleep then you should be concerned.
Unless you have had too much of caffeine then it would be hard to follow your usual sleeping patterns.
Are you Familiar Low-grade Depression?
The individual experiences more unhappiness than joy in Low-grade Depression. There are more bad days than good days.
People with Low-grade Depression feel the need to find something to make them happy or to achieve a goal then only will happiness prevail.
The problem is they don't admit their issues instead live in denial.
I know of a person who will say''I will be happy when I receive my first cheque, or ''I will be happy when I move into my new home.''
People who are not affected with Low-grade Depression don't have these fixations and show what they have to offer.
The individual with Low-grade Depression would let weather get in the way of their actions.
''I am unable to go out today the weather is terrible.''
It is difficult for the individual to make an attempt to go outside in such bad weather conditions.
You do have your good and bad days.
The problem arises when you are not able to cope with each day.
If you have far too many negative thoughts about your life and you are affected by poor stressful moments depression can slowly creep up to you.
Low-grade Depression takes your energy for two years and this can be worse than not being yourself for a few months.
A woman takes care of her depressed husband he is mental state is poor. The wife is in a tough situation as her husband requires constant care.
He can't be left alone at any time.
In this case she works from home so it is convenient for her to take care of her husband.
I have not met her husband but from our conversations she has lots to deal with and feels less energetic.
Bad experiences can make a person depressed and it can leave a hole in your heart for years.
Who has not experienced Depression?
At some point in your life you must have experienced depression so you should have an idea of what I am talking about here.
Childhood memories can destroy the individual. Once older just like one having a bad habit that you should to get rid off.
Depression leads to many issues in life.
The individual can be obsessed with eating junk foods. The excessive consumption of alcohol, or whatever affects your mind tremendously can lead to bigger health issues.
Remember, it is never your fault.
You are good if you don't worry about what others say or speak or gossip about you. A negative mind makes you think it is your fault.
What kind of negative thoughts can go through your mind?
The feeling of nothing will come right for you.
You think of the worst scenarios before the best scenarios.
When you feel there is nothing you can do about a situation.
It all feels too much and not easy to cope with this can be from a task or a decision
Look out for the following Symptom of Low-grade Depression:
The person feels sad, most dissatisfied with themselves just like they have not tried hard enough. Majority of the time people think negatively.
The normal days still exist but the moods are still quite low.
There are changes in ones eating habits.
Most of the time one feels extremely tired.
The individual puts unnecessary pressure on themselves.
The lack of concentration is another problem to ones minds.
Decision making is very difficult.
Each day becomes tougher and is a struggle to move on.
If you are sad and most unhappy with yourself you should be examined.
Have a mental examination if you feel well physically.
The lack of normal activities and the feeling of helplessness, or anxiety sounds a problem with Low-grade Depression.
What is Major Depression?
Pay Attention to the following Symptoms of Major Depression:
When individuals lack taking part in common activities.
The guilty feelings that grip them.
The feeling-less energetic, mode.
When concentrating feels a difficult task.
The appetite of an individual is changed.
When the thoughts of taking ones life is planned into action.
Depression during certain events are understandable and don't last. After the death of loved one you get over depression.
Bad habits can make you depressed. If or when you are an addict you can be affected by depression.
You stop for a while and go right back to the very same old habits.
Certain behaviors have a greater impact on ones life of depression.
The Natural Way to the Road of Recovery from Depression is as follows:
Use meditation and work out what is making you feel this way.
Get rid of your negative feelings that is causing you to feel depressed.
Avoid holding onto the negative thoughts.
Be active and eat healthy foods
Be positive and a don't believe everything you read or hear.
Focus on what motivates you.
Stay away from stressful conversations
Make yourself useful with charity work help others and avoid sitting too much indoors.
Too much of time alone can make you feel depressed.
Be with loving and happy people.
Do what you enjoy best don't force yourself to work a job if it is making you feel miserable.

Make it a ritual never to be with people who add to your depression.
A well-planned day can make feel organized.
Eat at the right times and stay active daily.
Make good relationships and friendships.
Love others and smile also acceptance is great.
You will find that the simple things in life can drive you to a less-stressed lifestyle.
Once you have that kind of lifestyle you can control your life measures.
I have my good and bad days. I don't hang on to negative thoughts that would make me feel almost permanently depressed.
Wintertime can be boring only if I let that be. I try take on other activities and let my creative mind take over my days.
I avoid what I know would make me unhappy.
Be smart and think smart!
