There are many paths that lead to and from the discovery of Reiki. I am sure mine is not unique. But, hopefully, when reading this, it will help to enrich the paths of others. Or at least pass the time in a pleasant way.

I took my first Reiki class in November of 2014. At the end of the day, I left with a wonderful feeling of joy. I was filled with a sense of wonder. I could not believe that everyone in the world had not done this. I also could not believe that I was just finding out about this wonderful healing tool.

Since that time I have taken more classes on the same and higher levels. I have found many types of Reiki, not just the traditional type followed by most practitioners. And, I have found something that will be a large part of my life for as long as I am breathing.

By following the principles that are taught to every Reiki student, I have found a sense of peace and purpose in my life. I am at peace with who I am and who I can become by continuing along the path that Reiki has shown me. I have also found a new profession to aspire to.

I have always loved teaching. Now, I am working towards becoming a Reiki Master Teacher. It brings about an abundant feeling of joy to share this wonderful art. Knowing what a great treasure I given my students is just as joyful as discovering Reiki.

Reiki has also enhance my spiritual path. The energy heals on many levels, not just physical. It also helps with emotional and spiritual issues. By using the energy, I have found a closer relationship with the Divine and given me a sense of direction. It has helped me become more of the person I want to be. Many people have voiced concerns that Reiki might hinder their religious beliefs, but I have not found this to be true. Just the opposite.

There are many benefits of Reiki one can look forward to. At the least, you will feel a wonderful sense of relaxation and relief from stress. But, if you are lucky and keep an open mind, Reiki will lead you down a path of enlightenment and discovery. And, it just might save you life, if you let it.
