Updated on July 10, 2011
What is a GMO ?
What is a GMO ?

I would like to address the Top 10 GMO foods in America Today. What is a GMO? A GMO is a genetically modified organism or food.

Through Transgenetics Foods are engineered between two different species, being genetically manipulated. Which is not natural and why I want to talk about this in my articles. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you will leave here better informed and willing to make changes in your lifestyle of eating.

Dangers of Eating GMO foods.

I love this quote:

"This revolution affects the most intimate aspect of life on Earth - our own biology and the biology of our fellow creatures. If ever there was a time when we human beings had to take personal responsibility for the future - this is it!"

Jeremy Rifkin

environmental scientist and author

Ripple Effect

The ripple effect is used to describe a situation where, like the expanding ripples across water when an object is dropped into it, an effect from where the drop hit can be followed outwards incrementally.

It saddens me in my heart to know the effects and dangers of crossing the genetics of animals and our foods, the dangers and the effects that ripple to no effect.

Affecting ones health, and the loss of the original source that God created in a simple plant.

And for what Purpose? I have asked myself this quite a bit? What is the purpose of crossing DNA in our foods? and Why would someone do this? Cause this affects everyone and our future generations. I cannot stress how much this affects me personally and hope that this will effect you.

Not only are we made to try to find the Good Foods but are we not going to do anything about this???

I'm gonna list a list of resources to help Stop GMO Foods.

Did you know?

Corn: Did you know that corn has been genetically modified since 1995?

Did you know that under studies in Rats that most these rats that eat this genetically modified corn suffer from Cancer, toxic liver and failing kidneys? just from eating it.

Pollination: Did you know that once these GMO foods are planted that Pollination occurs and spreads to other crops and hence no longer is the gmo product under control but now nature is taking its course and now all food is affected?

Meat: Did you know that you as a consumer eat beef and chicken and fish that has infact been consuming GMO foods? How do you think this affects the animals that you are eating?

Ecoli: Isn't it strange that a Plant food source has E-coli on it? is it possible that because the plant itself has been DNA altered with other species to cause this to naturally form on the plant itself

Food for Thought.

What are the Top 10 GMO Foods Today in America?

  • Canola
  • Corn
  • Potatoes
  • Tomato:
  • Tomato: (cherry)
  • Flax
  • Soybean (soy):
  • Cotton
  • Squash
  • Papaya

Most all of these foods have been genetically manipulated in some form or another, for pesticide use they have crossed genes of insects to avoid other insects for insecticides. There are way more genetically modified Produce than the list I am showing you here.

I hope this will help you start your own personal research on what Genetically Modified Foods are. There is alot of research on this subject, which can be many hours of study in itself, I am going to continue to write articles on this subject as I myself study them. I have alot more articles on Health, Recipes, Home Remedies, Making your own soap,  and so much more.

It still shocks me to see how much we don't know about our food. My first hub talks a little of such a topic. This info needs to get out there before it is too late.

Where you are talking about e-coli, in order to inject one DNA into another organism, you must invade the cells, they use bacteria to do this! So its no surprise!
