Cordyceps side effects with many medicines throughout the world, natural and produced, mushrooms and pills, there are possible side effects than can occur. These often vary from person to person, and the range and severity of effects vary too, so discussed below are the possible side effects arising from cordyceps.
Firstly, and most importantly and possible perhaps great news for cordyceps and its side effects, is the fact that, well, to be honest, there are very few, when compared with many other drugs and medicines around the world. Indeed, the range of cordyceps side effects is so small that contained within this article is practically a complete coverage of all the side effects. However, it is best to bear in mind that these may not apply for everybody, as everybody is different, and what happens for one person may not necessarily happen for another.
So, the first possible cordyceps side effect is that there is actually a chemical contained within cordyceps that is a natural blood thinner. I myself am not an expert on health related ailments, but if you are on medication then a blood thinner may cause you some harm. This could be that you are already on blood thinning medication, or that you need your blood to be thicker, so in the case of either of these circumstances arising, be sure to either disregard cordyceps or most definitely consult your doctor, as it may be best to wait until these ailments have passed before taking them yourself.
The second major side effects that you get with cordyceps is the fact that if you have an autoimmune disease, such as multiple sclerosis, then you should actually completely avoid cordyceps, as it can aggravate the immune system terrible and make your condition much worse. Remember, this is only a problem if you have an autoimmune disease, as in regular health people it won’t be a problem. So remember, if you do suffer from any problems such as these, then taking cordyceps is most definitely not advised, as it can cause major problems.
All in all, there really are not many known side effects of cordyceps aside from the few listed above. It is generally considered to be very good overall for the body and health, however, there is something to bear in mind. As stated earlier, everyone is different, so just because one person had no side effects doesn’t mean you potentially won’t too. The thing is, this isn’t just true for cordyceps alone, but this goes for all medicines alike, even if they have been prescribed. Be sure to consult your doctor and do your research before taking anything you are unfamiliar with, and only then can you reap the benefits.
