What is Human Growth Hormone (HGH)? Benefits of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Top HGH supplements in the World

There is a lot of myth surrounding Human Growth Hormone (HGH) or Growth hormone(GH). Manufacturers of artificial HGH often market their products using extravagant claims. As it is, I would like to shed some facts regarding HGH and its beneficial effects. As a responsible writer, I urge people to consult your doctor before taking any HGH supplement in any form.

What is Human Growth Hormone (HGH)?

Human Growth Hormone (HGH), also called Somatotropin, is a natural hormone secreted in the Human body by the pituitary gland. HGH is a peptide hormone and is responsible for development of the body. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) largely stimulates vertical growth of an individual by acting on the growth plates in the long bones of our body. Rapid height growth during adolescent period is largely the action of GH. It’s during this period that the growth plates in our body are still open (not fused). GH is secreted daily and is responsible for many bodily functions. Apart from physical development, healthy HGH secretion helps in maintaining a lean muscle mass, increased protein synthesis, increased sexual vigour and a healthy immune system. HGH also helps in increased fat metabolism and increased bone density. A 30-minute high intensity exercise will release a stream of HGH naturally into your system.

HGH secretion is at its maximum during adolescence and adulthood and slowly declines as we age. Stress, Lack of exercise/Sleep, improper diet can also lead to deficiency in HGH secretion.

Anti-ageing: Human Growth Hormone (HGH) has been found to definitely improve overall health and wellbeing of the individual. HGH is widely promoted as an anti-ageing formula but this is not scientifically proven yet.

HGH Therapy: Artificial Human Growth Hormone (HGH) therapy is provided to individuals with Growth disorders like Dwarfism. Such individuals are mostly given Somatotropin or IGF-1 injection.

HGH is also used as a performance enhancer by sportspersons, weightlifters and fighters. Many sports and athletic associations have banned the use of HGH. In the USA, one can obtain GH legally only by prescription from a doctor. It’s always better to consult your doctor before purchasing HGH supplements

HGH supplements: GH supplement contain various types of ingredients. Most include amino acids like Arginine which have the ability to stimulate the pituitary gland to release more GH. Others include minerals, vitamins or herbal extracts which could stimulate secretion of GH. They are available mostly in pill or powder form. Amino acids in their L-form act as GH stimulators. They are highly effective in the L-form. L-Arginine, L- Lysine, L-Glutamine etc are used in GH supplements

IGF 1 (Insulin like Growth Factor-1): IGF 1 is also used as a HGH supplement. It consists of 70 amino acids in a single chain. It is mostly administered to patients affected by Dwarfism

Growth Factor 9: This supplement contains a mixture of Amino acids like L-Arginine, L-Lysine, Oxo-proline, N-acetyl L-cysteine, L-Glutamine etc

How to take GH supplements: GH supplements should be generally taken on an empty stomach. Usually, it should be taken at least 2-3 hours after dinner, before you go to sleep

Side effects: Overdose of GH through artificial intake can lead to lack of natural GH secretion. In some case, there is natural over secretion of HGH in some persons leading to a disease called Acromegaly. Such persons are very tall, have thick bones, large head and extended protruding jaws
