Obstetrics and Gynecology are the twins of the medical field both look like it but different in working procedure. These are two different subfields of medical specialty deals with the reproductive system of a woman. Anyone who didn't know about medical fields deeply cannot define them easily. In first sight, both seems same but it comes about it's working both are really different to each other.

Obstetrics- A section of medical field which analyzes the problems during a women’s pregnancy, childbirth and midwifery period. A doctor for this called Obstetrician. An obstetrician has always devoted for care a pregnant woman and her unborn baby. It always responsible for the care of the woman during pregnancy and after pregnancy. Obstetrics include the analysis of women reproductive system.

An obstetrician can handle these critical problems -

A. Cervical cerclage: This is to try and strengthen a woman’s cervix to prevent miscarriages.

B. C-section or Caesarean section-When vaginal birth is not possible, cut the womb to take out baby.

C. External Cephalic type- when the baby is breech and female wants the vaginal delivery.

Obstetrics covers these problems also-

1.Proconceptional counseling and care: systematic supervision and advice of a woman during pregnancy.

2.Vomiting in pregnancy

3.Hemorrhage in early pregnancy or abortion

4.Multiple pregnancies

5.Medical or surgical illness

6.Ovarian tumor

7.injurues to the birth canal

8.Diseases of newborn baby

These are some major problems, which cured in Obstetrics.

Gynecology- A part of a medical field that deals with the diseases and infections related to a women or girl's reproductive system. A Gynecologist can easily handle the diseases like ovarian or breast cancer, infertility, mensuration disorder (like more or less bleeding). A Female Gynecologist near me works for giving total care and cure of any disorder or diseases in female reproductive system. It covers the part of the reproductive system like vagina, cervix, uterus and ovaries and urinary bladder also.

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the two different sides of medical specialty that deals with a female human body. Both are much essential for better curing of woman's reproductive system. Most doctors practices both but some do the Gynecological part of it.
