What can you do to feel better faster!
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. When you have
diarrhea or vomiting, your body is losing vital fluids.
You can become dehydrated quickly and require
medical attention. If you are unable to keep liquids
down, try taking sips of fluid or ice chips. I
recommend to my patients drinking water, clear
soda, sports drinks and hot tea.
Once you can keep down liquids and you can try
some soft foods. Bananas, jello, pudding, applesauce,
rice, and toast. Make sure to get plenty of
rest. This is vital in your recovery. When you
are getting rest and taking it easy, this gives
your body time to fight off the virus.
If you have a fever, you can try a fever reducer
medication for relief. If you continue to have
a high fever over 102.0 F, you may need
to seek medical attention. You can also
try upset stomach medications, such as
Pepto-Bismol or Imodium.
Make sure to dispose and clean all body fluids
with bleach or a type of disificent. Make sure to
wash your hands frequently with an antibacterial
soap. You can also try a mask that can be
purchased at your local store or grocery.
