Different kinds of vegetable salads to choose from
Losing weight has always been a challenge to me eversince I got pregnant with my first baby, and up until I gave birth to my third child, my weight has ballooned eversince.
I have tried and picked several diets ( mostly recommended by friends with doctor supervision), but I have also tried some fad diets like southbeach, atkins and the likes and they may have worked for a while but the minute I get out of it, the weight went back right away.
Exercise has also been part of this losing weight program, and I will never refute the benefits of exercise, even if it simply means a 30 min brisk walking four or five times a week.
Back to the diet part. Its been a trial and error eversince, and after a while I got tired of dieting, binge-ing, dieting, binge-ing, until I decided to make a lifestyle change. I changed what I ate, how I cooked my food, what I drank and how much and so far, I have maintained my weight and benefited from eating mostly raw food, particularly, vegetables and limiting myself (as much as I can) to just fish and chicken meat , done the healthy way too : bake, boil, broil or grill.
Its sensible eating that will keep you on your desired ideal weight and even keep your cholesterol, blood and sugar level at normal.
Enjoy your salad and feel lighter, healthier and younger!
Salads don;t have to boring! There are a lot of varieties to choose from, from the type of leaves to the type of dressing that you put on it. A different dressing changes the whole delight and taste for your eating pleasure.
I have included here some of the most highly recommended types of salads that I have personally tried and tested, and have helped me maintain my weight. Salads are a good source of fibre, water, vitamins, minerals and protein ( if salad comes with chicken, seafood or tuna)
All you need is a little creativity to keep on enhancing the look, feel and taste of your salad menu.
