Where can you get free condoms and why I'm against this!
First off, I'd like to say that it was my sister's idea for me to write about condoms so at first I thought it was funny and I thought I'd throw some humour into it. After all, been there, tried that and my sister is 10 years younger than I am so she's 25. Then I thought, no, I'm not going to make fun of a topic that is so serious to me. After all, she's to me my baby sister and to think that my sister can have sex freely and get free condoms so that guys can take advantage of her, well, that just doesn't sound right to me. Then again, she's no saint either and I take religion and the human body very seriously so she is also sinning against herself.
Basically what I'm trying to get at is that I don't agree with condoms or any other contraceptive method whatsoever because in my religion it has always been against God to use anything to try to prevent the natural way of things. People were made to procreate since the beginning of time but mankind has come up with some even dangerous methods like taking birth control pills which cause in some people serious mental health problems because it messes with the woman's hormones. No wonder my psychiatrist office is filled with more women than men. Anyways, she's telling me she got free condoms at an orientation session at her college! What?! Sex free for all! The way I look at it is that if you're not ready to have kids than don't have sex and have respect for your body, and if you don't want to catch disease than don't do what some girls do and sleep around. Sorry, I mean for both sexes because men do the same. I'm not trying to say that I'm any better. After all, I have 4 children and in total would've had 7 if not for the other miscarriages. However, when I look at my children and I see the sacrifices I've made it's all worth the while. In reality everything in this life happens for a reason and if you look at this topic in a religious point of view then you need to have faith and trust in God. God knows what you can handle. I'm 35 years old now and after having a difficult birth 2 years back where I almost lost my life, God not only intervened but my uterus got removed. I wanted that to have been my last pregnancy and I didn't have to do anything to prevent having more children. God allowed the doctors to accidentally cut a major artery to my uterus and that was that. So now I'm even more positive as to why there is no need for people being so cautious against pregnancy and diseases. Nothing will happen unless the time is right and I believe that as creations of God we should do His Will and let Him decide when we should have children. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that teenagers should go around and have sex. I personally waited until I was at least 18 but to me I don't think that handing out free contraception is anything but unhealthy. I prefer to tell my children who are growing up to wait for the right time to give themselves to someone that they may choose to trust when they are financially ready then to say to do whatever they want and use protection. I might as well shoot myself in the foot if I say that because then I risk having a daughter or son losing their virginity at 15 or even younger believing that their is no chance they can still conceive or catch disease. Condoms do break and pills can be forgotten to take after all. If you're freely allowing your kids to get condoms then it's like saying that sex should be done whenever, and with whoever they want and since there are no consequences to the actions than I guess having sex with multiple partners is no longer a sin? Or even if it is just one partner, you are basically telling the community that sex was meant purely for pleasure and take away the sanctity behind the act.
I'm not asking anyone to believe in what I have to say as I know most people would think I'm crazy. I have lived by a strong religious foundation and by the way, I'm a true Catholic person. I don't follow the new rules the current Pope is putting into place, but that is another topic I'll discuss on another blog, another day. I follow the rules established before the second Vatican council. For those that don't know what that was you can google it or maybe I'll explain that later too on another blog.
I'm also not expecting that atheists will even come close to believing in what I have to say. All I'm really trying to say is despite what I may or may not believe and express in this blog, for the sake of people having the chance to think before they act, and for the sake of preventing people to sleep around, the least people could do is make these young adults pay for their condoms!
