Why Do I Feel The Way I Do?
Why do I feel the way I do? Can it be because of emotions? Emotions, sometimes called feelings, are the way we feel and how we think. Emotions can make us act in a certain way, good or bad.
Emotions affect us physically and mentally. Emotions can make us sick and affect our daily lives. Have you ever been told to get your emotions in check or you are just emotional? How does that make you feel?
Some basic emotions are anger, fear, sadness, disgust, joy and happiness. These basic emotions can form complex emotions. Contempt can occur when you feel disgust and anger.
Emotions can be a warning system. For example, someone says they can give you a ride and fear keeps you from getting in the car.
If you bury your emotions it can cause stress, cancer, etc. Negative emotions will have a negative affect on your body. Emotions can cause depression which can lead to overeating which can lead to high blood pressure and so on.
Negative emotions can cause negative thinking which can lead to all sorts of problems. Negative thoughts can lead a person to do all sorts of things like hurting themselves or others.
Emotions can cause all sorts of things, good and bad. But you are the only one who can change how you feel. I know sometimes it feels like you are never going to get out of a mood or nothing ever goes right. If at times you feel this way talk to someone. It is OK to need help every once in a while. I have found that it is hard to say no to people, or to ask for help. But you have to look out for yourself, take care of yourself because you are the only one who can take care of you.
