Workout Routines Should Be Fun!

The term ‘exercise’ sometimes can be synonymous with the word ‘work’ to people and how to overcome this. Often when we think of exercise we start to paint a picture of a person endlessly running on a treadmill and hating every second of it, but this is not what exercise has to mean. If you look up the term ‘exercise’ in the Oxford Dictionaries you will see that they list it as “activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to sustain or improve health and fitness.” This definition is important because nowhere in it does it state that it has to be boring, painful, repetitive, or endless. Exercise can be anything from walking, dancing, lifting weights, running, bicycling, and more. This is where many people go wrong when trying to get into a routine of working out. They forget that they can also enjoy the things that they are doing. In fact they should! The best way to exercise is to find something that you actually enjoy. You’ll find that it is much easier to stay consistent in your routine if you do so. You should try everything and learn what you like and don’t like. Switch up your routine every once in a while.
