Hypertension Treatment and Cure

Hypertension is a health condition where the blood pressure remains abnormally high (a reading of 140/90 mm Hg or greater). Hypertension is usually caused due to excess stress, strain, and emotional disturbances. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can cause lack of strength, tiredness, headaches, nervous tension, insomnia, confusion, decreased memory, restlessness, difficulty in breathing, bad temper, visionary troubles, blindness and kidney failure to name a few. Hypertension is also related to other diseases like stroke, heart attack, Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), and may also lead to death. In order to manage high blood pressure or hypertension, one has to make lifestyle changes which include a healthy diet and exercises like Yoga. People who are obese are more prone to the risk of hypertension. Many times reducing the weight alone can help reduce the risk.

Yoga is one of the most effective methods for treatment of High Blood Pressure. Yoga combined with Natural Home Remedies for Hypertension can help in effectively curing this health condition.

Yoga Cure for High Blood Pressure

Yoga Postures or Asana is one of the most effective and healthy ways of treating High Blood Pressure or Hypertension. This health condition affects the internal organs like heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. The yoga Asana and breathing techniques reduce the damage by curing the root of the problem. With the practice of the below given postures and alternate nostril breathing regularly soon the patient can notice positive changes like better sleeping pattern, increased energy levels, increased immunity, weight reduction and decrease in blood pressure to name a few. Yoga helps in regulating the blood pressure by stabilizing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Given below are the postures a person suffering from Hypertension or High Blood Pressure should practice.

  • Easy Pose
  • Shoulder Stretches
  • Double Leg Raises
  • Camel pose
  • Knees squeeze
  • Stand Spread Leg Forward Fold
  • Cat Pose
  • Half Spinal Twist
  • Legs Up the Wall Pose
  • Crocodile Pose
  • Fish Pose
  • Diamond Pose
  • Half Lotus Pose
  • Wind Relieving Pose
  • Plow Pose
  • Bridge Pose
  • Shoulder stand
  • Corpse Pose

Along with the practice of the above Yoga Postures you may also practice Sun Worship which is an all round a highly beneficial yoga Asana with numerous health benefits. You are also advised to do Alternate Nostril Breathing Technique with Vishnu Mudra. Apart from this, you may follow the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Diet that has proven to be very effective in reducing Blood Pressure and Cholesterol without Medication.

However, it is advisable to learn and practice these exercises from an Expert or use a good Yoga DVD to learn the same. However, I should warn you that this is no magic remedy which would instantly reduce your problem. Those with complications should consult a doctor before starting Yoga practices. So if you are suffering from Hypertension, why not give the Yoga Postures for High Blood Pressure and Natural Home Remedies a try?

An interesting hub I am off now to look at yoga exercises on YouTube thanks for the information.

I needed this as it is so hot here at the moment that I find ordinary exercise almost impossible to do, but I hope this will give me at least something that I can perhaps do in this heat.

Thanks again for the idea and the info voting up+

I really enjoy yoga. It can be very strenuous when done correctly. I must admit I haven't done much lately.

    Sharing.
