God Speaks, will you Listen

Updated on June 4, 2013

God Tells You to Enjoy Your Day

God tells you to enjoy your day, would you?

What would you do if God ordered you to enjoy your day? This is a command, and it must be done. How would you go about enjoying your day? You are not given any thing to help you enjoy it. You are left only with your own creative mind. You must come up with ways to enjoy your day, after all it was a commandment issued to you by God. How would you pursue this if by chance you were experiencing a depressing day? Maybe you just experienced a loss of a relationship or job, and despondency is all you know. What would you do when you received that message from God?

Would that command push you right out of your melancholy? If it did, how would you conduct your day? You have no extra money, life is still in the same dishevel it was prior to God commanding you, so how would you turn your day around? Would you want to share with others your experience? It after all is a major experience, providing people would even believe you. Would you automatically climb out of your self-pity party, just to replace it with a celebration party? What would you do?

If you had this experience, would you believe anything is possible? Could you see your world full of possibilities, instead of a vacant existence? How would you choose to spend the rest of your day? What constitutes enjoyment to you, when there is nothing extra than what you had a few minutes ago? Who would you wish to enjoy your day with? Would you prefer to enjoy it alone? How would you describe an enjoyable day?

This is a good exercise to use, when life becomes boring or unbearable. There are so many things we can do, even given the lot we have for today. Enjoy your day is a sentence of empowerment, and you can choose to abide by it. You can turn your day around. You do not need God telling you to do this. In reality, we are supposed to enjoy our day. This sentence though can be the fuel you need to jolt you out of your sadness and dismay. This happened to me yesterday, though the message came from someone I respect very much. He knew I was dwelling in sadness, but the only thing he said at that moment was enjoy your day. This struck me in an odd way. It awoke me in the realization that this is my day! I would have hated to miss the opportunities that might arise if I continued with my original plans, to ignore this day.

I took the challenge, and if you take the challenge, you will quickly see a different perspective, which you can incorporate in your life. These perspectives will aid you in being proactive in your life; verses letting your emotions attached to your fear get the best of you.

My first outlook to begin doing things that fed my curiosity. I always had a curious mind, and I was sure there were areas in life that would intrigue me. When I did this, my self-pity party seized. The object of my sadness took on a different form. The truth was that this matter could not be changed today,, but my attitude towards it could. The feeling of anxiety, because I was driven to fix it now was replaced with patience. The people that were gone from my life, and my pity-party consisted of missing them, was now placed with peace of mind and gratitude of joy for having them once in my life. I knew they would always have a special place in my heart. Life became, in an instant; a celebration of joy verses the sadness of regret. I did have a party, just for myself. It was a celebration of my life. Nothing changed that day materially, but my attitude did. With a different perspective, I knew I was now facing a world of endless possibilities.

Would it take you hearing from God, to change your perspective? I hope not. You have that power within you now, and can be used by you. You can celebrate your life, and what it consist of now, and embrace a world of possibilities. This is a choice you have daily. Have a party to rejoice your life, or have a self-pity party. God isn’t coming to tell you, for He already expects you too, but you are being stubborn and have anchored yourself to doubt, depression and all that entails your self-pity party.

Enjoy your day! Live it completely and rejoice in having this day.

This was wonderful!! Really a blessing to see this expressed so well. Shakespear could not have done this piece any better. Inciteful, heartfult and touching. Something I seldom see here at Hub on this level.

I found I enjoyed this very much. You have this laid out beautifully and it is easy to understand. Keep up the great HUBS. I must give this an “Up ONE and awesome.” I'm always your fan! RJ

Based upon your HUB, you might enjoy this HUB…

      I anticipate your comment...
