Aloe Vera Improves Alzheimer's
Mom has Alzheimer's what can I do?
My Mom has been battling Alzheimer's Disease for several years. She recently suffered a mini-stroke. Her primary Doctor has placed her on hospice care. She is in stage 7 (the last stage) of Alzheimer's and my Dad, who suffers with Parkinson's asked me to find something that might help her. My background in the medical field has been on the sales side. So when I see clinical trials and outcomes I tend to look for the "sell aspect" and "our drug is better" spin. My searches on Google found that new research from the University of Miami was published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease titled:
Lewis, J. E., McDaniel, H. R., Agronin, M., Loewenstein, D., Riveros, J., Mestre, R., Martinez, M., Colina, N., Abreu, D., Konefal, J., Woolger, J. M., & Ali, K. H. (2013)
"The effect of an aloe polymannose multinutrient complex on cognitive and immune functioning in Alzheimer's disease."The Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, 33, 393-406, DOI 10.3233/JAD-2012-121381.
I recognized one of the Doctors in the study. He was instrumental in the discovery of Acemannan, a D-isomer mucopolysaccharide in Aloe vera that has been known for its immunostimulant, antiviral, anti-neoplastic and gastrointestinal properties. The company that founded and produced Acemannan went bankrupt partly due to the FDA and the requirements to get "Drug approval". The product tested in this study is branded BiAloe® and is manufactured by Lorand Laboratories. Its founder is an expert in the world on Aloe vera processing and is credited with revolutionizing commercial processing and farming of Aloe vera. He was a consultant for the same company that went bankrupt. I recognize these individuals because I once worked for that company, Carrington Labs. Their wound care products with Acemannan were amazing. I left before the company was sold. But I was always a firm believer in the science of Acemannan. In this study researchers wrote:
"Our results showed improvements in both clinical and physiological outcomes for a disease that otherwise has no standard ameliorative remedy."
The lead Doctor in the study describes some of the patients involved.
A woman in her 90s entered the trial not able to walk or speak. Once the trial began she was able to leave her wheelchair and speak.
Another patient diagnosed with Alzheimer's for several years could no longer clearly remember his son. Once the study began, he was able to recall details about his son and his wife felt she had gotten her husband back.
Another woman whose husband was the caregiver had a daily routine of going out to lunch together. After enrolled in the study for three months, she was able to give him driving directions from where they ate to back home.
I was sold so I ordered two bottles of APMC 500™.
I had my mom take three capsules (opened and sprinkled on yogurt) twice a day. After one week she was walking instead of needing a wheelchair and playing the piano. She was sleeping through the night where as before she would try to get up and fall. She can now have a conversation where as before only mumbled. I wanted to share this product and hope others who have loved ones with Alzheimer's might see the same results.
