A healthy long walk and some mild exercises does the job for me.

I exercise at least three times a week and I make sure that I focus on the quality of my workouts.  I will do two circuit training workouts using the Bosu and the treadmill and if I'm not feeling like I've been through hell and back in just 45 minutes, then I know I'm not exercising hard enough.  On one day, I will do a traditional moderate weightlifting session.

Push-ups, pull-ups and jumping rope are my favorites.

After having tried just about everything under the sun, I'm now a firm believer in elliptical machines.

I've never been able to become a dedicated runner, outside or on a treadmill.  I also tried joining a gym so I'd have access to the weights and exercise machines but found myself struggling to even go.  The 2 hours commitment for me was just too much each night (20 minutes to change after getting home, 15 minute drive to the gym, 45 minute workout, 15 minute drive home, change and shower...).

I was finally able to convince my wife that buying an elliptical made sense and we've both been very happy with the decision.  We bought a middle of the road Nordictrack which was about equal in cost to a gym membership for a year.  Now we each spend 30 minutes on it after work while we watch the news.  Couldn't be better.

I wrote a Hub about exactly this - I give you tons of different workouts/exercises that you can do that don't require any weights at all. It only takes 30 minutes a day and you can do it anywhere you want. Of course you have to eat somewhat healthy and try to stay away from sodas and sweets, but a 30 minute workout 2-3 times a week should keep you in good shape. If you want to check out my Hubs on weightless workouts, follow the link below. Btw - I made a chart at the end with all the workouts to make it easier for all the readers

Absolutely, I use bodyweight exercises, yoga, tae kwon do and climbing. I used to lift weights a lot, now it's more of an occasional thing; I'm getting plenty of resistance exercise from my other activities. On top of this, if I'm near the ocean in  good weather, I bodyboard or body surf, or just swim, and I'm always active with the kids.
