    What is your "happy place"?

    Mine is sitting by the ocean, with palm trees and a warm breeze, and hearing the waves crash smile

    Mine is being in the mountains of Oregon next to a lake or the Clackamas River. There is such quiet peace being in the fresh air and forests and canyons of the high Cascades. Too, there is nothing more relaxing and renewing then being on the Oregon Coast watching the waves crash against the rocks.

    My happy place is a waterfall by a stream where I used to fly fish when I was younger in upstate NY, USA.

    My happy place is in my mind.  It is a story idea, in the fictional West Coast town of Mallet's Cove.  It was an idea I had that has taken on a life of its own.  Every night when I go to bed, I close my eyes and add more details to the story.  I also do this if I am stressed.

    I've done this for so long the story seems almost like a memory instead of a story (yes, I know the difference--I haven't gone completely around the bend!  LOL  :-)

    A grandbaby sleeping in my arms. walk in the woods with my dog, sitting with my bible and a cup of coffee and communing with God, reading to my grandson.
