Now, to be fair to you, I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. One of the symptoms - a very large symptom, is impulsive spending sprees when manic or hypomanic. Patty Duke in her book, if I remember correctly, bought two different airplanes on a manic spree of spending in the same night or something like that.
So, now what do I do about it. Well, I head to the dollar store, don't have credit cards - TG, where I can get a lot for less. Even if I give it away or sell it later it is less damaging than the internet - a lesson I learned during a long manic phase way back when.
I don't know if that answers your question or not. I also have some very wise people I lean on with financial decisions of any consequence. Wow, I guess this could be a hub, eh?
