Listening to my favorite band while laughing and having fun with my love. Always a sure way to lift me up.

A little physical activity.  Get your heart rate up.  It will boost your endorphins and make you feel better.  This is a scientific fact.

Go for a walk while listening to your favorite music, this gives me time to clear my head after a hectic day and then just be in the moment.

Little ways in which I boost my mood include the drinking of coffee, the drinking of beer (not at the same time as the coffee!), and listening to music that I enjoy.

Always thinking of the nice or happy things when the mood is down. I always believe that being happy is better since if one is sad, there is nothing to gain but hurting feeling. So, why be sad?

We have all had days that we felt like we had no energy at all to get through the moment much less the day.  Even if we were able to muster some faint form of something that reminded us of energy, would we have the "want to?"    It's called the... read more

I spend some time in my patio watching the flowers and birds. Or I can chat with a friend over phone. Cleaning up a bit of mess in the house also makes me feel good.

I change my focus to the things I have and the many blessings around me.  This really helps me to stop the negative thoughts.

I've always kept a book of things that make me happy. I have this little journal and in it I write with colorful pens (as colors make me happy) little things that amuse me or things I can do to pull me out of a blue mood. Such as I really enjoy rain, and the quadratic equation, Gone with the Wind, and an 8 oz coffee cup really amuses me.
Other than that, a bath is always helpful. I envision my troubles and doubts going down the drain as I let the water out.
sometimes when I'm feeling down it's because I'm bored, so a walk always helps. I read somewhere that if you directly forward and even slightly up when you walk, it elevates your mood. I find that when I do this I notice more, like the trees against the sky down town, the shape of the buildings and the colors of all that is slightly more up than the ground. That always makes me smile because it reminds me of the beauty I'm surrounded by.
coffee always boosts my mood too. Drugs will do that though.
Having more plants around me, like in my bedroom or throughout the house makes me feel better as well.
The simple act of smiling, even if you don't feel like it, sends messages to your brain, rather your psyche and will subconsciously make you feel better. The power of suggestion is powerful and one can suggest to the self just as much as any one else.

I use baking cakes and cookery to boost my mood, as if I am feeling down or depressed about something then the knowledge that I can do something good and practical keeps me going.

I suffered with depression I used cookery as a way to beat it and believe me it really does work.....

Whenever I'm feeling a little down I always tune my Ipod to my favorite band and go for a little walk around the neighborhood. This usually cheers me up and also gives me some much needed exercise!

Music, food, and some rest. When I am in a bad mood I usually am tired or hungry. Also it helps to surround yourself with upbeat and positive people.
