I review diet plans, but my daughter (22) would not even read my reviews as she was not interested in losing weight. She was 5'1", 145 lbs, 22 years old. Then she started walking to work to save money. It was a good one hour walk. She was so surprised to see she lost 8 lbs after one month, without altering her eating habits. The next month she started eating less and continued walking to work. After three months, she had lost 30 lbs.!!! Everyone at her work compliments her for losing weight on her own. She is so happy with her new look. Everyday I tell her I am really proud of her, and very happy for her. I keep on hugging her.. to a point that she tells me "Mom, that's enough hugs for the day!" I can't help it. I'm just so happy for her. She got a new confidence in her that I had never seen before.
Here's what she has been doing. She bought this little black book on calories, and tries to keep down her calorie intake to 1200 a day. She eats about 300 calories four times a day. And most importantly, she walks to and from her work. She eats everything, from chocolate to pizza, BUT in small portions. She is now 113 lbs, wears extra small clothes (she used to wear extra large), and wants to lose 3-5 lbs more.
This is very similar to Dr. Beckerman's Flex Diet that I had reviewed, but of course, she never read it (I'm only her mother.. duh! lol). Take a look at this book. I gave it a thumbs up.
