You cannot lose weight just by ignoring nutrient full foods. One needs to specifically look at foods that have the calories just enough to keep you at a level at sustaining your life.
If on the other hand, one is feeling good and does not need to lose weight then a food that is nutritious yet not too filling should be taken into consideration.
Instead of living a life based on restrictions one should look into living freely based on fresh foods that are not processed. The reason people go on diets because of the fact of heavy consumption of processed foods.
