A few years ago, I had the pleasure to help two young blind women on occasion with simple chores around their home. We always seemed to fall into some very good conversations of which one of them was the topic of dreams. Both women had been blind from birth. It seems that they both realized dreams from their blind perspective. But there were differences in their blindness. While one lady had black vision, with no shadow or light perceptions whatsoever, the other had grey vision, and could somewhat discern slight presence of light and shadow. What was most fascinating was that the one with grey vision could see and describe colored objects, which appeared to her, to "float" across her vision. She could descibe vivid colors, though she had never perceived color in the way sighted people do. She had, on one occasion, "seen" in a dream. The impact was so powerful to her, she was frightened of the idea of having normal sight.
