I don't exactly suffer from prolonged dizziness, but I do experience bouts of vertigo that can last an entire day if not treated. During these spells, I have trouble maintaining balance, and at time experience nausea. There is very little I can do about it (outside of prescription medication). Moving around can be hazardous (I nearly fell down a flight of stairs trying to walk it off once). Laying down doesn't help, just creates a spinning sensation that makes thing worse. I've been told by doctors that vertigo is usually triggered by inner ear infections, and usually goes away with time. Other factors that may contribute are, poor diet, lack of sleep and restricted blood flow. I don't know a great deal on the topic, but I do know how it affects me, and what I can do to alleviate it.
