   If you were behind a stranger and there was a big tick crawling up their back, would you tell them?
   
   Would you pick it off?  Sling it off them and onto someone else? Ignore it and be grossed out?  Wonder later if they got lymes disease or Rocky Mountain tick fever!

   I would let them know, then offer to brush it off of them.  I couldn't let it go and I wouldn't want them to ignore that on me.

   Hilarious question....I would definetly tell them...I would warn them and say something like, "OMG, you have a tick on you, let me get it off."  What would you do Rutley?

   I would have to say something to alert them about this and then offer to get it off for them also.
   
   I would hope that others would do the same for me.
   
   BTW I really do not like ticks. Ugh! This question creeped me out.

   I wonder how many people could recognize a tick? Even if they saw one?
   
   They are not very prevalent here in my part of B.C. However certain parts of our province, I'm told have them in abundance; especially spring and early summer.
   
   Of course, I would tell them and aid if necessary. Why would anyone not?

    I would tell them and ask them if they wanted me to flick it off if they wanted me too. If it were dug in I would hesitate on telling them, but I probably would tell them as politely as I could. Now, I would be really squeamish to actually pull it out for them, and would suggest they have a friend or get a full mirror with the excuse of "maybe they should have peroxide available " or something.  Heck of a question lol.

    Let the person know...if outside I'd alert them I was getting a tick off them. Inside environment you wouldn't want to do that as it would jump on the next warm body it finds. I'm a bit OCD about them.

    It'd depend on a couple of things...if the person seemed gross or nasty in some way, I might not mention it to them, I'd kind of move away.
    If I was in a bad mood and things were all wrong about where I was and why, I might not mention it, (because I might not be able to deal with the person's reaction).
    If I just  came across a normal stranger in a normal situation I would try to tell this person, "Hey, scuse me, but you have something on your back that looks nasty...etc" and see if they were up for some help if necessary. 
    But I'd need to know I could absolutely cope with any kind of a response before I told them.
    (Not all people are predictable!!  Some do not like to be bothered.  Others might be in a bad mood, or uptight, or simply generally hostile.....)

    I would ask them what they thought of ticks then i would tell them because I want to know what kind of reaction to expect. If they say something like they are terrified of ticks I might want to move away when I tell them one is crawling up their back.

    I would get goosebumps, walk in a wide circle around to the front of them and tell them to either run quickly backwards into a wall, or take off their clothing very slowly, then quickly run away

    I would knock it off and explain afterwards and also deal with their reaction once the tick is on the ground. I would be so freaked out to even think about lymes disease or Rocky mountain fever. Maybe I can think of that later, once my goosebumps and heartbeat have returned to normal. lol

    I would definitely tell them. Ticks can carry Lime disease. Also, they´re pretty gross.

    I would tell the stranger though I might not be able to pick it off because I hate insects. Hahaha...
    
    I kind of have this habit of notifying strangers if somethings wrong about them or their belongings. Like the simple warning when their handkerchief falls off from their pockets or bags... ( if I get to see it) That kind of stuff...

    I guess I would tell them. I just hope they wouldn't freak out cause I'd probably freak out more then and really be of no help.
    
    Since living in the South, I've seen enormous insects-UGH! And I have to deal with my dogs if they get a bug on their coat. So you'd think it'd be a big nothing for me. But bugs give me the chills.

    I thought of this question because I was sitting behind someone in church and watched the sucker crawl up from the bottom of his shirt and over his collar.  It
    disappeared before I could get his attention.  I couldn't quite reach it nor did I want to.  I kinda just nudged my son and pointed.  I know.  Rude of me .  My kids all nudged each other and their shoulders kept going up and down with the giggles.
    
    The time frame was there no longer.  At that point I was just punching their knees
    to behave in church.  I was more concerned that someone might have seen me punch knees so the heck with the big tick!  Did the man ever find it you wonder?  I'm sure he did, later on that day when he was scratching his ____off!  I did see him again and then it was my shoulders going up and down remembering this.  I can't say that I recall what that particular sermon was about but about 2 weeks later it was me with a big tick crawling up my arm in church!  Bet it was the same
    one!  What goes around comes around!

    I would definitely tell them.  I would love to tap them and calmly inform them of the tick but  I am sure I would dance around a bit and frantically shout "tick!" "tick!" "Tick!" while pointing at it.
    Thank you for torturing me with this image that will haunt me for the rest of the day.  It is better to be the person telling the person about this tick than being the person with a tick crawling up their back!
