Below 5.2 is a desirable bad cholesterol level, to reduce from 6.5 a high cholesterol level, would require a drop in eating foods containing bad fat, any foods over the counter basically.
Change this to the good fats like olive oil, nuts and fresh foods. Next time you have a bad choesterol blood test do not drink or eat for at least 12 hours before the test.
This will give your Doctor an indication of the correct levels of all the different cholesterol fats in your body. You can then plan a suitable route for your nutritional intake.
Just as important is the need for regular exercise be it walking, cycling, swimming or light jogging, ask your Doctor for a siutable exercise plan to match your needs.
Hope this helps.
