Chelation therapy is a non-invasive method of treating angina, preventing heart attack, stroke, diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, emphysema and a lot more caused by free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS). It is also used to treat them. Its main ingredient is ethylene diamine tetra acetate (EDTA), a synthetic amino acid which was designed as a substitute for citric acid but was found to remedy lead poisoning. It has been effective on cardiovascular diseases as well. Chelation is an affair between minerals and EDTA that bind and remove them. EDTA has six "claws" as it were that pinch on a mineral like a crab and move it out of the body. Chelation neutralizes free radicals and ROS and erodes plaque in arteries. It is an alternative to coronary artery bypass surgery and angioplasty. It is legal, ethical, safe and less costly. It is not traumatic; similar to the administration of dextrose. If you can drive your car to a chelation clinic you can drive it home also after your chelation session where 250 ml is infused in 1.5 hours. One with angina and with a plaque of about 50 to 75% of one artery may get well and come back kicking with 30 sessions, one who had a first attack can prevent another one with 45 to 60 sessions; one threatened with stroke because of an occluded aorta can prevent stroke with 45 sessions; one with hypertension get well with chelation. I am undergoing chelation for my angina and prevention of heart attack. It is considered as experimental by Health Management Organizations (HMO) that you may not avail of it if you want HMO to pay for it. There are a lot of chelationist in America.
I can write another Hub with my answer. I already have several Hubs on chelation therapy: "Chelation and Stem Cell Therapies Completely Repair the Heart," "How to treat Motor Neuron Disease (MND) Also Called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis," "Prostate Caner: How to Prevent and Cure It," "Free Radicals with Unpaired Electrons in Alternative Medicine."
