I was reminded by a doctor that true dieting has only one real way of success.. Stop eating so much! He went on to point out that all of the diets in the world have one common denominator.. the reduction of food... even without the exercise it will yield results.
As simple and uncomplicated as it is... everytime that I would think about his comment I would say that I had to agree with what was going to be put into my mouth was going to be the result of the loss.. or gain.
With his insightfulness into the bottom line of dieting I decided that it was time for me to do just that... and I began a journey to choose to eat for survival only.
Having food in my life was not limited to sugar, calories.. etc.. but survival. I chose to eat anything that I wanted.. but I was always aware that each mouthful had ramifications. Over eating would mean that I could never accomplish my goal.
I had tried numerous diets, pills.. sweat rooms... but it took a simple statement to make me realize that he was right. If I chose to eat much less.. only to survive then I would benefit in the end. I lost 63 lbs..in 5 months and it was the first time in my life that was actually easy.
There comes a time in our lives that all of the expensive programs, diet tricks etc.. need to really be simplified.. Do you want to lose weight? If so everytime you pick up something to eat..ask if its need (survival).. or want... if its because you Want it.. Dont eat it! It doesnt mean that you cant have any forms of food.. but you have to also decide how much is Survival size.. Not Upsized. We can live on far less food then We think that we need.
Drinking water? we need some to survive and it helps with flushing out our systems and also it fills us up but I never drank 8 glasses a day I just made sure that I had it available. I also made sure at my meals that I drank a glass of water with it.
You can spend thousands of dollars to help you achieve the goal of weightloss.. in the end each one of those diets is doing exactly what the doctor said.. Making you eat less food. So why not try the simple approach first...eating for survival works. Your body does not require 3000 calories a day. Reduce food intake and reduce your weight... simple and uncomplicated..anyone can do it.
