   Exercising in the morning, afternoon or evening. Does it really make a difference?
   
   Does the time of day make a difference on the effectiveness of your workout? Is one time better than the others?

   Exercising at night can make it more difficult to fall asleep at night whereas morning exercise should have the opposite effect decreasing stress hormones and lowering body temperature at night so you can fall asleep faster. It can also elevate your metabolism for the day. Over 90 percent of people who exercise regularly exercise in the morning. It's easier to skip if you wait til the afternoon.

   Yes, exercising in the morning is the most beneficial time of the day to workout!  Exercising in the morning jump starts you metabolism for the entire day which means you will continue to burn calories all day! Not to mention if you get it over with in the morning it is done, waiting until the end of the day you are less likely to get it done. Something always comes up if you wait until the end of the day.

   On different days I run in the morning or evening because of how it fits in with the rest of my life. However I prefer the morning. I'm not sure it makes that much difference to the effectiveness of the exercise in terms of fitness, but I do agree with earlier comments about the effect on metabolism.

   Personally I tend to have my best training sessions performance-wise in the late afternoon to early evening - unfortunately.
   
   It comes down to personal preference and also your time schedule.
