Have you had your children vaccinated ?

We were all vaccinated against Whooping Cough etc as children & had our children vaccinated as well & all been healthy . For the first time ever I have been in contact with a child that had whooping cough which I thought was an old disease . I was shocked to hear that a lot of parents are not immunising their children so more of these sicknesses are making a return .

Yes, I've had my children vaccinated.   However my children are all grown-up now and they have children of their on. Their children have been vaccinated also.  I've heard that more parents are not vaccinating their children these days because they fear their child getting autisum as a result of the vaccinations.  The number of autisum cases has increased dramatically over the last several years.  Many people claim that the increase is due to the vaccinations.  The government tells us that studies have been done to rebuke this claim, but there are still many non-believers.

All my kids are vaccinated. There's some negative ideas floating around that vaccinations are not safe...which I can understand. The studies on vaccinations are not well established, and there are some harmful ingredients in them. So I can almost understand where some parents come from. To me, the benefits out-weigh the risk.  I don't want my kids getting something horrible, such as polio, just because I went out on a whim and decided they aren't getting vaccinated. I did a lot of research on vaccines when my last child was born. I see their concerns and for the most part if valid. But still as parents we have to do what is in the best interest of our children...not vaccinating them could cause them to become seriously ill or even die.

Actually, some of our children are and some of them are not.  We had decided to refrain from vaccinations due to several reasons:
    1)  We were not pleased with the doctor's constantly pushing new vaccines and marketing them as safe, effective, and necessary.  If you equate the new with the old, then my reaction would be to step back from both until I have more information - which most doctors are not willing to provide.  I do not appreciate being treated as a second class citizen because I am not in possession of a medical degree.
    2)  The numbers do not support the effectiveness of vaccines.  When you do research, the overall conclusion that can be reached (by anyone who is not biased or employed by the medical industry) is that vaccines are not the "silver bullet" of health.

Vaccination is good for children. All children should be vaccinated, though some people don't agree.

While I respect your opinion, I highly recommend you do some research on vaccines.  It has been proven that vaccines cause more damage (especially in children) than they do good.

      Peace

Our first two children were vaccinated.  The second two weren't.  The autism rate has increased to 1 in 88 children.  This is a 23% rise in a 12 month period.  That is frightening.  There has to be a cause for this increase.  I find it hard to believe that it is just a natural or random progression.  So, is it environmental or is it the medicines that we are putting into the mother and the children?  I lean to the idea that it may very well be the 'medicine' that we are introducing into their systems.

The truth is that our 'government' has a long history of introducing solutions to problems before it understands what the long term effects of the 'cure' may be.  The recent scare with the honey bees has been traced to a pesticide that was approved by the FDA.  It turns out that it was not good for the bees... which turns out isn't good for the environment... which turns out isn't good for us.

G'day. I have had my children vaccinated but am aware of the negative reactions a small(acceptable by government/medical community)portion of the population may suffer, whether it is autism or death.
Don't forget that cot death peaks around 3-4months old(when vaccinations start)
I gave my children, and still do Vitamin C, especially when vaccinations take place.
If i'm not mistaken the vaccination companies in USA cannot be sued.
Ideally if we and our children ate decent immune boosting food and not the sugary processed junk then it would not be necessary to be vaccinated.

I have had all of my children vaccinated.  My two oldest are 22 and 20 now and have had no problems since they were vacinated.  My daughter, 20, has a 15 mth old son, who has been vaccinated.  As I explained to her the fear of the vaccination just didn't out weigh the fear of the diseases.

I, personally, believe the preservatives in our food is more dangerous.  A friend of ours actually helped discover some of the preservatives companies use.  He said that the snack cakes would survive a nuclar explosion and would still be eatable.  That is like margarine, it is scarey as to what is actually in it.

Yes my children had been vaccinated in time.  I don't take any risk on their health.  So I attend to this requirement seriously.

Vaccinations are very important, and parents should see to it that their children get them on schedule. I'm not sure about the one that prevents HPV. It is so new, and doesn't have a good track record yet. Cervical cancer is NOT a communicable disease.  We are now seeing the resurgence of  diseases that were once considered under control  like whooping cough. Before we had vaccines, many children were afflicted w/ polio, needing braces to walk and iron lungs to breathe. Still others suffered from the terrible misery and scarring of smallpox. Parents purposefully sent children to be exposed to measles, mumps, chicken pox, and rubella, so they would come down with it and develop a natural immunity. Getting these diseases in adulthood resulted in severe illness and sometimes sterility. Shingles comes from the same virus that causes chicken pox.  The benefits of disease prevention far outweigh the risks of autism which has not been proved as coming from the preservatives in these meds. We've come a long way. Why go backwards?

Why vaccinate, it is natural for us to produce our own antibodies, why fake it!? When children suffered with polio, needing braces and iron lungs, the medical profession ignored the cure! Linus Pauling was not only treating polio but curing it.

Jimmy - you are so right!  Vaccines are dangerous and do more harm than good.  Big pharma is in it for the money that is why the FDA does not approve "natural herbs and supplements", because they actually cure problems.  Sick people = BIG $$$

It's true that Dr. Frederick Klenner, before Pauling, cured patients in the early stages of polio w/ mega doses of vitamin C in the 1940s. It's also true that our bodies will produce natural antigens to a disease if we are exposed to it.

Thank you, Jimmy. I respect your view. I believe in the adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Most can't take a sick day let alone 7 days to tend to a sick child.

My kids are grown now.  From the time my four children were babies, I took them to the doctor to get every single vaccination that was available, and then got them each booster shot as well, until they had received all immunizations that were necessary.   I felt that they would be much better protected than without the immunizations.  It just made perfect sense to me to do it.  I guess I don't understand either when parents don't get these for their kids.

Yes, I had also heard about whooping cough and polio returning in some cases...not sure where...but I know you're right, because I remember reading about childhood outbreaks coming back recently....and I think that measles may also be one of those as well.  It is my feeling that it's the best thing to do for your children...but of course everyone needs to do what they feel is best for their kids.  My sister doesn't get flu shots for her twins, but I believe she did get them all of the most important shots and boosters when they were babies and toddlers.

Vaccine companies are in it for the money, in the UK they only decided to change the preservatives in 2006 when there was an outcry about effects of vaccines. They knew the old preservatives were not as safe but they were cheaper.

I did have my son vaccinated as required by health dept, Dr. and school regulations.  There are some illnesses you do not want your child to have to experience.

I absolutely did. Unfortunately my daughter was allergic to the pertussis portions of the DPT.  All boosters were given as DT.
I too was shocked when a flyer came home from my daughter's school that warned of whooping cough sweeping through the jr. high.  I crossed  my fingers and hoped for the best, but crossing my fingers did not help.  My daughter spent the next 3 months attempting to recover.  Following the WC she had respiratory infection after infection.  It was years before her immune system had fully recovered.
I am dumbstruck by the number of parents who choose not to immunize.

I have been amazed at how many lately will not protect their children from all these diseases . We never heard of any one with whooping cough when I was young or my children but now because people won't immunise it is on the increase

Hey free camping aussie, one of the greatest Aussies died this year, Dr Archie Kalokerinos. His views on vaccinations in Oz were they were state sanctioned genocide-back in the 50-60's. Check his amazing work out.

AVOID ALL VACCINES!!!  I encourage people to do research and see for themselves just how dangerous vaccines are; especially for children.  People need to wake up and stop drinking the Kool-Aid...VACCINES are POISON!!!

We have more childhood allergies than ever today because of our over sterile environment and fear of NORMAL germs, yet fear of awful side effects in 1% of those vaccinated that have brought back the SERIOUS microbes that really kill people.

Russ is right- vaccinations contain aluminium, mercury, formaldehyde, antifreeze, ammonia, thimeserol, squalene which are all Neurotoxins and cause death or as we all know, autism. That is how a needle in the arm can cause autism,ADD ADHD etc in the head.

Thanks Jimmy!  Vaccines are just as bad as all the processed foods people consume.  GMOs, vaccines, and man made diseases like AIDS are all part of the Elite's plan to depopulate the world.  Look up "Georgia Guidestones!!!"

Please do some research...your statement is simply not true.  It has been proven that those who get the flu vaccine are much more likely to develop the flu than those who don't.

Russ, If you choose to not vaccinate your own kids, good for you and your family. It's your paranoia that is toxic. We can each make our own informed decisions and deal w/ the consequences. Thanks!

I must say as well, those who got the polio vaccine also got polio from it, until they changed the vaccine to a dead virus.Don't just think short term either, all the vaccines= all the parkinsons, alzheimers later on! Darn i'm gonna do a hub:)

All three of my children have been/are still being vacinated. We have even seen sucess in being vacinated agaisnt the flu every year. I believe that vaccines are important, but it is good to be aware that side effects can/do happen. Both of my oldest children had full blown chicken pox from their vaccination agaisnt it, and my daughter has had seizures after her vaccination because of fevers (she has febrile seizures). Even with these complication I still feel it is very important to keep the vaccination schedules up to date.
