clothes for instance.....because your just not "all that" anymore.........
sort by best latest
when my husband and I got married, my mother-in-law told him that now I'd need to grow up, cut my hair short and behave myself
20 years later, still have beautiful waist length hair, and still do my thing.
Some people's approval's not worth having
WHAT did your "Monster-in-law" say? Oh my....bless your heart for 20 years of her!!
She didn't say anything to my face, as she's scared of me since I confronted her kindly/firmly about other sneakiness. Tried to get at me thru hubby, but we worked as a team
We currently do not have contact w/ her, as she's manipulatative and toxic
interesting answer........but does it make you think twice?
No..think twice, you mean does my opinion get influenced by others opinion of me, sway it one way or another? Most often, not..sometimes I will consider their views with respect to business..but most likely for educational purposes only.
People can be very rude....such as this, I was pregnant with my 5th child....a lady said to me...."I sure hope you're gonna get your tubes tied after this one!" Was she secretly supporting us all? After I picked my jaw off the floor, I walked away.
Rutley, I never fail to be amazed at the things people say! My best friend had 6 kids. She is a wonderful mom, and her kids turned out great. She has about 16 grandchildren. Christmas is quite alot of confusion, but alot of fun!
why would certain types of clothing be too young for you?wouldn't the question be more if they suit you or not?
Hi Catherine, I'm 63 I was referring to like mini skirts, hot pants, halter tops and bikinis. Otherwise I wear what I please.
Rosemary, I'm only 54 but if it looked good for my body, I'd still wear it if I liked it.
(note- I wouldn't wear a bikinin, but not because of my age, but because I'm built like a teddy bear and a bikini doesn't work on my body type :)...)
