    some common factors:
    heredity;
    immune system is gearing up for arthritis;
    going overboard with hair dyes (can destroy roots)

    In my case, I am certain that it had every thing to do with heredity.

    You see, by the time I was in my late 20s, I was "salt 'n' pepper," and the same was true with my mother.

    Today, I have a nice thick grey mane that, in my opinion, makes me look really hip.

    there is no technical reason for greying hair, as well bald. too much early is the indication of malfunction of metabolic system.

    A severe shock to the system by whatever means can cause hair to lose its color in rare cases. Don't know the biological mechanics why though.

    Several scientists say it is a high level of hydrogen peroxide in the blood stream that bleaches the roots of each hair strand.  ???? This must get worse as a person gets older.  Many new supplements cause the peroxide to break down in the system and this prevents gray hair.

    I honestly think that its partly hereditory and partly stress. If you worry about money alot then sooner or later it will start raising its ugly head of grey hair.
