I need a bug repellent. I bought a bottle of Jason's Quit Bugging Me, it's a natural formula. It smells funny, though and only works for about ten minutes after application. (Plus it's $6 for a tiny bottle.) Do any of you use a natural or at least less harmful bug repellent? We live in the country and the bug to human ration is about 198463650239475 to 1. Thanks in advance!

Thank you, I appreciate your help!
just hit me - if mosquitos are the bug that is the largest problem - some people have luck altering their "smell" using vitamin b supplements or garlic supplements. skeeters smell the CO2 from us and go from there.
I take garlic everyday, but it's odorless. Maybe that won't help so much?

Awesome never heard of that one
Will it make mosquitoes and flies not as happy to hang around?
Not sure it is a recipe my grandmother uses all the time and I just started using it so I will learn with you on that one.
I'll definitely give it a try. I'm tired of being bug bait!
Totslly understand I live in Florida and the ants and skeeters are horrible during the summer months.
I lived in north Florida for a while, and I think the skeeters were big enough to carry off small children! Found out what a fire ant was, too. Ouchies!
